This cable works fine for that purpose. Flexible cable is a nice feature.

Needed Fast Replacement

I found the closest Best Buy to replace it since I wasn’t sure what type of cable was required. The staff at Best Buy had me in and out within 5 minutes with the right cord and right length. Worked perfectly, actually much better quality than the original cord.

This does support Apple CarPlay which was the main reason I bought it and it hasn't given me any problems. The braided cord is a plus too for durability.

I am using it to charge my phone in my vehicle. It is thin enough that I can close the cover of the location of the USB connector so it remains out of sight.

Only issue I had was the cord is pretty stiff, so it can be annoying when you have to force it to bend sometimes. But other than that, great item.
