It VASTLY increases the speed of downlaoding and writing! I really suggest you get one of these if you need speed to work from drives moving content.

Would recomend to get a 45w wall charger to get really to the cable to its full potential. Amazing transfer speed for downloading and uploading to my PC.

Low behold fixed it and I have had no issues.

Low power transfer

I thought all USB-C to USB-C cables were the same, wrong. A standard USB-C to USB-C charging cable will only run at maybe USB2 speed, I found out the hard way. This cable is definitely super speed. Also this cable is much cheaper than the Apple counterpart.
