Customers consistently note the Chromebook 311's ease of use, particularly for schoolwork, and its attractive price point. Its long battery life and compact, lightweight design also receive significant praise. However, some users express concern regarding the limited storage capacity.

I paid just over $100 for this and did not expect much for that price. Actually, this turned out to be a very capable machine. I wanted it to carry with me when I needed a quick connection to the net and do simple tasks. This more than meets the bill. The battery life is excellent. It lacks a slot for memory expansion and the ports are limited, but for connecting to the Internet and as a fast, light portable machine, it is great.

I purchased the Acer Chromebook 311 Laptop for my 9 y/o, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. This Chromebook is a fantastic device that offers incredible value for its price.
The 11.6" HD display is crisp and clear, making it great for streaming videos, browsing the web, and working on homework projects. T
The MediaTek MT8183C Octa-Core processor combined with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM ensures smooth and efficient performance. The 32GB eMMC storage provides ample space for storing files and documents, and the addition of WiFi 5 connectivity ensures fast and reliable internet access.
I appreciate the versatility of the USB Type-C ports, which allow for easy connectivity to external devices and accessories. The battery life is impressive, lasting for hours on a single charge.
Overall, the Acer Chromebook 311 is a solid choice for students in need of a reliable and affordable laptop for everyday use. Its performance, portability, and features make it a standout device in its category, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a Chromebook

The Acer Chromebook 311 is a solid choice for basic tasks like browsing, video streaming, and document editing. Its compact size, sharp 11.6” HD display, and USB Type-C ports make it portable and convenient. However, the MediaTek MT8183C processor and 4GB RAM can feel slow during multitasking, and the 32GB eMMC storage is quite limited.
If you need an affordable laptop for light use and can tolerate slower performance, it’s a reliable option.

It worked fine until 2 months ago and suddenly stopped working. Because of the price paid it was suggested to purchase a new than to check/fix what was wrong with this one.

I got this Chromebook for my young daughter to use. It isn't the most fancy, but it is everything you want in a Chromebook: small, quick, and portable. I sometimes use it for work, and after 2.5 hours it was still at 81% battery!

I got this to replace my old, dying laptop mainly so i can watch movies and shows on trips.
Pros:
- fast, responsive
- android phone integration
- Google account sync makes apps and Google Drive easy to access
- support until 2028
- 15 hour battery life
Cons:
- no internal storage, large chunk used by OS
- only one USB port
- no microSD slot to expand memory like you would with a phone. Slightly negated by Google cloud storage, but would love to have offline access readily available
I got it on sale for $129, making this an absolute steal for my needs. Wouldn't suggest it for RAM intensive projects or gaming, but it's great for the average user willing to learn the shortcuts that replace standard windows keys.

I am a teacher. In my vocation, I have seen that many public and charter schools provide students with Chromebooks because they simply get the job done. As such, when I saw this Chromebook on sale, I knew I had to get one each for my 2 sons (sale price was like 65% off). I bought the Chromebooks for my boys so they can do their school work on a laptop vs the school based iPads they received (hard to type short essays on an iPad). I also wanted them to have slightly more modern computers vs the 10 year old macs they currently have.
However, my sons had other plans... I warned them that the Chromebook was never meant to play video games, however, both I and my boys were surprised to find out that the Chromebook can actually handle a few popular games that are not graphics intensive (Roblox, Minecraft, etc.). At the same time, the laptop is also addressing the solution(s) I initially wanted for my boys in that it helps them complete their school work with greater ease and no technology issues. Just connect to wifi, log in using Google account, and you're on your way. To conclude, this laptop will serve its purpose well if you have realistic expectations for such a low cost device.

I've been a MAC user for almost 20 years. I decided to purchase a Chromebook, which is a much less expensive option bc I've stayed a Google/Android user for mobile devices and have learned to enjoy the phones operating system more than what I like about Apples. The Acer Chromebook did not disappoint. Great for everyday online browsing, professional purposes, and is as light weight as the Apple Air. Fits in probably more bags and purses than any other laptop's.
