Replaced my old LG with this one because it was having issues. The compressor on the old one went out after 5-6 years (apparently known issue), the door ice maker would leak (replaced it), the door panel looked very worn (replaced it) and finally the bottom icemaker started spraying water and leaving frozen 'snow' everywhere.
Despite that, chose another LG because we like the features, but really regretting it. The 'soft close' door was a great idea, but it's only on the right door, not the left, so one of the doors still slams. The fridge itself doesn't cool very well, I have metal analog thermometers (from when the last fridge went out) and the fridge temperature won't get below 40 despite being set at 33. Oddly, the top drawer will get down to 33 no problem. Also, the button to change water/ice has to be pressed multiple times to register, and if you're too fast/aggressive with pushing it to get it to register it will finally recognize the button push and jump passed the one you're trying to get to. Changing it back and forth from cubed ice to water is just annoying, it makes me really, really hate the fridge. I would give it less stars except for the fact that the fridge technically works. But I would definitely not buy this fridge again, or any other of this same style/door controls.

The salesmen did a good job explaining the different things about the refrigerator. I was glad to hear tha the sales people were not on commission, I never felt like I was being sold something by a pushy sales person. The only bad thing was the company they employed to do the installation. Very incompetent. Said they couldn't install the refrigerator because there was dust on line. Ended up with 2 refrigerators in our kitchen on Thanksgiving. Had to pay someone else to install it.
