Horrible Product!!!
Posted .Has poor WiFi range(compared to my 7yr old Samsung galaxy tab) causing response delay and timing out because router cannot pick up signal. Poor application interface and very slow to load. Also very slow to boot-up from being off or restarted

Good picture, lousy performance
|Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendPros: Big screen, very good picture for this price range Cons: Runs slower than a snail crawling through glue I bought this tablet to read textbooks that have embedded pictures and tables, so the most important feature to me was screen size and image clarity. The screen resolution is very good, especially for this price range. However... the performance is terrible. I have basically nothing installed except the system apps (which can't be removed without doing some things that tend to void warranties), and the performance is really slow. I have a $50 cell phone with the same amount of RAM that can run circles around this tablet. The only thing I'm doing with it is reading Amazon books and occasionally opening Google Maps. (I have yet to be able to open Google Maps without it crashing the tablet, so something is obviously wrong there.) Final conclusion is that I will be returning this and getting a smaller tablet with a bigger brain.

Pretty Good Tablet for the Price
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI give this tablet a qualified recommendation. It is an inexpensive tablet, and for the cost, it is pretty good. It can't really compete with the more expensive models in terms of screen resolution or processing speed, but it is a serviceable tablet that works reasonably well. On the positive side, the 10 in format gives a large viewing area. The screen is reasonably bright. The fact that this tablet runs Android 7 and that it has not been customized by the manufacturer is good. On the negative side, this tablet is rather heavy to hold. The processor is somewhat slow, and it gets bogged down sometimes. The front and back cameras are pretty bad, but the heavy weight of the tablet makes it unlikely that you are going to carry it around to take photos. The manufacturer's documentation (available on the Insignia website) is not comprehensive and does not even discuss some of the tablet's features. It is also important to note that there are no custom made cases available for this tablet for some reason. The only option is a generic cover that is held on by elastic bands that connect to brackets on the four corners. The only available screen protectors are also generic. In summary, this is an okay tablet for the money. It will not wow you with its performance, but it is an inexpensive option and holds its own over other options at that price point. When I bought mine, Best Buy did not even have one of these on display. I am not sure why they treat this like an ugly stepchild, except that they may be trying to direct customers to pricier tablets.

A Just OK Inexpensive Tablet
|Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendIt has the right amount of storage at 32 GB but is a little thin on RAM quantity and CPU performance. Sometimes the screen requires multiple touches to get the icons to activate - similar behavior occurs when awaking tablet by swiping the screen after touching power button. Although the specs do not say so, it does come equipped with 3.5 MM stereo audio port. But then again, it is rather inexpensive. Perhaps the Acer Iconia would have been a better choice for only $20 more.

Great price but very slow.
|Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendGreat price for a 10" Android Nougat tablet, but very slow ...expect a delay when opening anything, or for the keyboard to pop out, and it can get confused switching between many apps. The touch screen is also a little lacking compared to Samsung/Apple tablets. HOWEVER all perfectly reasonable quality limitations considering the price. For me its fine for casual home use, just don't expect to be zipping through things and being productive.

Decent tablet for the money.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have hesitated for a long time before buying this tablet, and for mainly one reason only: the amount of main (processing, not storage) memory, which, for the NS-P10A8100, is limited to 1GB. This is barely enough for the Nougat OS itself, and if you are in a habit of leaving many applications open, will cause you to hate the tablet quickly. However, if you can get this tablet for a good price (say, less than $75), and if you can be bothered to remember to close background apps, do not run memory-hungry apps, and won't mind an occasional slowdown, this is not a bad choice. For the money you get a tablet with 10.1" screen and 32GB of onboard storage. The build quality is pretty nice. Sure, the screen resolution is only 1280x800, and cameras probably aren't anything to write home about, but at this price point the only competition would be an Amazon Fire tablet, and that would mean becoming Amazon's newest, bestest friend for life. Pick your poison... I bought two of these.

A Windows 10 tablet that is really a mini laptop
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is a great tablet with 32 bit Windows 10. It boots fast and runs smoothly on this cpu. The screen is sharp and clear. With the rugged keyboard attached the combination is actually a mini laptop. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but found a minor disappointment. The Mobile version of Windows Office that was installed in the store demo model is not free. It opens in reader mode only. You have to purchase or rent Office 2016 or Office 365 for your desktop computer in order to activate the editing capabilities of the Mobile version on this tablet. The touchpad is also tricky to use. It incorporates the mouse buttons by clicking the right or left edges of the touchpad. It teeters to click. But unless you click the exact center of the edge, it also teeters fore and aft, which moves the pointer up or down on the screen. So when you click, the pointer has been moved off the button you want to click on, so nothing happens. I bought a $10 mouse to use in laptop mode, and that works beautifully. I don't recommend using the touchpad.

OK Tablet, does what I need
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI bought this tablet primarily to interface with my Vox VT40X guitar amplifier. I needed an inexpensive tablet for the tone room app which I was running from my laptop and wanted something more compact. The Android 7 OS fit the bill and 32gigs of memory was a plus. nothing in this price range offered a 10" screen and 32gigs. I use an Ipad for some things at work and this is no Ipad. It's heavier, thicker, and slower. That being said I also use it to browse facebook, check my email, and use chrome for a little shopping and bill paying. Lke I said it's a little slow loading websites but otherwise works fine I have yet to buy a micro SD card to expand the on-board memory and will probably pick up a 64gig soon. If you just want a decent inexpensive tablet give this one a look. for a casual user who wants to have something besides a laptop to lug around you could spend a bit more but why. It seems to do what I need it to do.

It's simple
|Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendFirst things first, I use better quality computers all day so this is just what I noticed with this tablet. If you want a nice resolution and fast response to your input, this is NOT the one for you. I use it only to access websites that work well within the Chrome browser. I type fast and this things lag often causes mistakes. When I tap an app to open I have to wait a second or two for the result. Batter life sucks for being so simple but you get what you pay for. End result, if you want performance and a great screen image, try something a little more expensive.

Good Tablet
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI got one of these for my mom last Christmas, and for my mother-in-law and father-in-law this year. I decided to get one for myself since I did not have a Tablet already. The screen size is great, it has some good features, and I really enjoy using it. I will say that it constantly gives errors that several apps "have stopped working" and asks if you want to close them, even when they are already closed. Also, I've had it for about two months and the charging time keeps increasing. When I first got it, it took just under 2 hours to fully charge 100%, now it takes over 4 hours. I like the tablet, but I am a little concerned about it continuing to function.

Very nice for the price
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI saw plenty of reviews for this tablet that said it was extremely slow and they are not in accurate. However some reviews make it out to seem that this thing takes hours to load a single program and that's simply not true. For the price you cannot beat this tablet. It does everything it's supposed to do. I turn it on it comes on I turn it off it shuts off. In between that time I can surf the internet, use any app that I can use on a Droid phone, take pictures, watch videos, and check my email. Sure it probably does it slower than an iPad or a Samsung Galaxy Tab that cost 526 times more but if you want a good tablet for around 60 bucks you can't go wrong.

Great for a first time tablet owner
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAfter reading all the reviews prior to my purchase I decided this was a good fit for me. I have never owned a smart phone or tablet before. One reason I leaned toward purchasing this tablet was the fact it has a built in GPS. I use google maps while driving with this tablet and it gives verbal directions as you go. The tablet is a little slow to boot. But once everything is loaded it works great!! Have been playing the latest android games on it with no problems. Works with all my Bluetooth and wifi devices around my house. You can cast images and videos to the TV. I have both FireTV and Chromecast and both work great with this tablet.
