These are great laptops. Wonderful for browsing and surfing the web, or downloading documents and content. You never have to worry about memory or storage either. It has 8GB of memory and a 1TB hard drive, and at the time I purchased it, $399 was an unheard-of amount value for something like that. These laptops are reliable and will get any job done. The Pale Gold & Ash Silver color I got mine in was so pretty, so that's a nice added bonus as well.

Nice size, good speed, battery life seems good. My spouse doesn't yell at it too often, so that's a good sign...

We needed a new computer for basic tasks like e-mail, web surfing, documents, and simple spreadsheets. This laptop fit that bill nicely. The battery life seems good - it easily lasted on a few recent cross country flights. The display is good sized and clear. It only has two USB ports, which is typical of laptops, but I bought a USB hub for $25 to resolve this. We use this with a full size monitor and keyboard when we are home and as a laptop when we travel. This laptop only has an i3 processer, so it may not be suitable for heavy processing- but it works plenty fast for us. The laptop is quite thin and low in weight for a budget priced laptop.

Love this computer, it is lightweight and fits all my needs. It is a good computer for school age kids and also for those that don't use it for heavy duty work loads. I am retired and don't require as much from a computer as I used to but this does everything including microsoft office. Battery has a good life and I can take it anywhere.

So far I’ve been liking this laptop haven’t had any problems. I’ve had it for about a month already. And overall I like this size since I’m a college student and I can take it where I like, and it has enough storage. The only thing is I wish it had was a backlit keyboard, but I still think it’s a good laptop for the price.

I was looking for a laptop with the right specs to be used as a home office and that was light and easy to carry around. This one was perfect. The screen isn’t too small allowing me to work effectively and it’s quite fast. Overall a great deal for the price I paid.

Perfect size for traveling. Perfect for lows usage and FB and Surfing purposes. Screen quality is VG and not to forget light weight. Being an i3 will reduce efficiency for high number of software usage at same time. The 1 TB makes it more attractive.

I needed to replace my old laptop which was slowing down quite a bit. I was considering a tablet for its speed but still need the resources of a Windows laptop. So I decided to get 8GB of memory and >2GHz multi-core CPU but didn't want to pay more than $400. I knew it was possible that a laptop with these resources could bog down even though I just need it for small office work, but took a chance anyway. So far, it works as expected and the price was around $350. No bloatware that I needed to remove and the time for boot-up and to load web pages are acceptable although I would have preferred 128GB of SSD vs 1TB of hard disk just to speed things up a bit more.

I needed a laptop for class and my Toshiba was too big to carry around I have had no issues It has a long battery life and is fast I only use it for emails and assignments so it works great for me I only wish I had gotten the touch sereen

Recommended by Best Buy in-store personnel. Easily meets and exceeds what I was looking for. Lightweight, portable and offers great speed when surfing the Internet. Easily handles all Office365 chores with no issues. Just what I was looking for!

Received this as a gift. Wasn't sure I was going to like it, as it was smaller than I was used to & didn't have a cd drive. However, I love it! Works great & has plenty of memory. Bought an inexpensive cd drive so all is good.

I was looking for a "not too heavy" laptop to carry back and forth to work. This works quite well. I like the speed, and the keyboard feel is great for me. It would be perfect if I didn't have to learn Windows 10.

For the Low price it is hard to beat this laptop. It is well designed with future upgrades in mind. There is an open M.2 slot for adding an SSD (Which I did for $50 and moved the boot drive to the SSD for much faster loading and kept the 1TB HDD for storing bigger files). There is an additional slot if you wanted to add and additional 8 Gigs of RAM and the Wifi card is upgradeable if you wanted more than just 2.4ghz. overall a pretty solid laptop for most people on a budget.

Besides the best buy price which was excellent - the laptop is really good too. Still bloated software in there, but better than before. Also its light as a feather

It's perfect! I love the size! For having 8gb memory and 1tb hard drive the price was excellent! My sister seen mine and went the next day to get one for herself.

The storage is a little low but the speed is there and this little thing works perfectly for college. The laptop is light and can be transported easily.

This basic laptop contains great memory, good screen, excellent sound, is fast, light weight, and attractive. In my first month, I've had absolutely no problems.

OK, I love this computer. The large 1 TB hard drive has room to store all of my files and pictures. With the 8 MB RAM it is quick enough for me once you get logged on. Has no issues with MS Office apps loading my files. Two small drawbacks; because it’s accessing a large hard drive the initial loading up is a bit sluggish but not terrible. Secondly a backlit keyboard would be nice. Been using for a few days now and am impressed.

The computer is lightweight. The screen is bright. The reason this computer does not get five stars is that it is filled with bloatware. I have uninstalled apps, but the next time I started the computer the app was reinstalled. Furthermore the Windows software for the desktop is a cluttered mess. I wish HP would sell this computer with no installed operating system. I would recommend this computer to a friend after pointing out the above problems.

This computer was a perfect choice for our college age student. It’s light weight and easily transported to class. Plenty of storage for papers and photos.
