Very pleased with my choice of the compustar remote start. In my opinion the 2-way remote start is the only way to go so you can verify that your vehicle is actually started without having to actually have the vehicle in sight. Geek Squad did the installation which had one glitch but went smoothly enough. Be careful carrying the remote in a pocket because I had the car start by mistake a couple of times.

I bought this for my wife's 2015 Subaru Outback. She says it works great and starts her car from farther than her previous remote starter. Also love getting the two way feedback.

I bought this item for its range of about 1-mile. However, its difficult to start my car if I am inside a big building, like a shopping mall. I guess this may be the same with most of the remotes.

Great range on the 2 way expansion kit. Nice to have the confirmation, too bad the second remote in the box isn't a 2 way remote so it's worthless.

I had a great experience with Best Buy's mobile department. They saved me money by interfacing properly with my car's firmware and I didn't need all the parts usually required. It works great!

I can be inside the mall or grocery shopping and turn on my vehicle from inside the store. Very nifty idea and awesome control.

I should have purchased the viper instead. I have issues with the remote for this product. Sometimes it will not open my doors of my car at the first try.

After multiple trips to Best Buy, and many frustrating situations with my new automatic starter ( which was a different brand than I had requested), I finally understand how to operate it. Apparently, I saved about $150 on this comparable product vs. the product I had originally requested (Viper 2-way system). I had many frustrations at first, but the guys at Best Buy helped me understand.

This starter is great and the two way communication ability is great love this product.

Unit works but sometimes you have too operate key pad a couple of times. Got unit for a gift to girlfriend, she lives in an apartment and sometimes is parked far away out of vehicle line of sight. push the button get a green light you know the car is running with out going into the cold to check it. Unit works up to 3000 feet away, Very sweet!!!!

I would highly recommend this 2-way remote to anyone thinking of a remote start for their car. The conformations really come in handy when you are not in visual sight of your car. The range on them is also awesome, I can be in the back of any retail store and start my car out in the parking lot and know that it worked because of the light and audio conformation on the remote :)

I had an older Compustar 'brain' with 1 way remotes. I found that the 'brain' in the system I had installed could be upgraded to 2-way with the purchase of this set. I am very happy with the purchase/upgrade. It's nice to be able to start your car when you do not have a line of sight to your car.
