2001 is a truly awe-inspiring adventure across time and dimensions. The director refused to say what the ending means, so it takes on a potentially special meaning for each of us. Must own!!!

What a great classic movie. Looked so crisp on 1080p when it came out on Blu-ray. Looks fabulous on 4K. This is one of my go-to movies to show off my 4K TV.

I saw 2001 for the first time in the theater in 1968 and have seen all the home media versions since and the 4k version looks better than it did back in 1968!!

Kubrick was a master movie-maker and it was brilliant for him to work with the author, Arthur C. Clarke, to bring this story to the silver screen and the Blu-Ray version definitely does it justice. Excellent!

This movie looks fantastic in Blu-ray. Interesting and complex story that doesn't force feed you the information. It allows you to make your own interpretations and makes the movie more interesting when viewed multiple times.

One of the greatest films of all time!! Well deserve the double dip in purchase and a must see. Greatest soundtrack in film history and beautiful cinematography.

An iconic film of my youth, it should be seen in a theater, but this bluray and a HD TV are close. The commentary by the two leads is very informative and amusing. The lip-reading for instance was Keir's idea.

This is a fabulous 4K Ultra HD version of 2001: A Space Odyssey in regard to its clarity, resolution, beautiful and detailed colors and, of course, its truly exciting story line.

A legendary movie with a great steel book. Fantastic packaging and the best special features to this movie so far. The 4k disc is the best made for this movie ever. A must have.

Is it really timeless or ends at 2001? I watched today and it still as good or better than before with the new transfer (blu ray), excellent supplementary. An important piece of cinema.. don't miss out.

Watching 2001 on 4K blu-ray is just like watching it on the big screen. In addition, all the extras are ported over from the dvd and 2K releases. The extras are in 480p.

By now you should know the movie. If you don't already have on another format or you just want the high res and HDR, worth the pickup

Nostalgic movie remastered on 4k played in a LG CX 55" , what more can be said? Oh yeah obviously buy this steelbook edition for a bestbuy price!

4k brings a new reality to this classic. The new HD Master Audio sound track when played with a new receiver which produces neural x will blow you away

I could not believe this movie was made over 50 years ago as it was a stunning movie to behold. The steelbook art and style was lacking, but the movie was great to watch.

One of the greatest films ever created in 4K is a must-buy. it is so clean it looks like the film was created today.

The video quality is excellent given the age of the film. The film itself of course is a classic, but new viewers may not see what the fuss is about compared to modern SciFi films. Some of the special effects are dated, but that goes with the territory. It was a revolutionary film when it first came out and has inspired a number of SciFi tropes (such as the "markers" from Dead Space).
