Every time I have gone to the geek squad there is never enough help to tend to the customers . they have maybe 1 or 2 people working is all. people are sitting and standing waiting to 30 mins or more, even if you have a appointment, Then when I took my lap top in to have it cleaned and a virus removed I was told you don't need the plug, well they called said it was my hard drive ect. I went to pick it up they said it wouldn't stay turned on, that something was wrong with the hard drive. NOT it was dead from no battery it needed plugged in. so they did nothing to . said bring it back. with the cord. When I said it worked at home and stay on. if it don't work you people will fix it free , because you broke it

Geek squad is always there when needed. . . not too sure about that, sometimes the wait is long and takes hours for them to do their thing. But do have to give them credit. They have repaired things I've messed up several times.

Previously I have liked having the geek squad, but right now they have lost my computer while it was being repaired. They will not give me a computer to use, and told me that they can't do anything about it for at least 2 more weeks.

Although my repair was completed, I was not notified throughout the progress appropriately. I was told upon requesting and paying for service that it would take 3 to 5 days for completion. It appears that it took longer than that.

It is always something we buy when we purchase anything at this store. Many times we have taken our laptops or game consoles and gotten good service. If u dont buy it they will not help u. If u do buy it they take care of you

First thing I did was to have the geek squad load programs on my new lap top before I used it for the first time. Just wish I could get renewal notices from them so I don't forget to renew protection each year.

I am an Elite Plus Best Buy member. As a mother of 6 children, ages 12-23, I have spent thousands of dollars on technology over the years and usually purchase the protection plans as well. The reason that I am rating this a 1 is because I paid $299 for this plan and it specifically says that I am entitled to 3 years of Internet Security Software. I was also told this by a representative in the store. However, I bought the laptop and this plan online and never received the 3 years of Internet Security Software. I have called Geek Squad 4 times and have been transferred countless times to other departments. Everyone I talked to gave me different information. The first agent that I spoke with said that I should have been given this software and that I should receive a call back in a few days after they look into it. No response after a week, so I called 3 more times and the last one said it is not included, although when I click on the Features of the Plan it specifically states "Free Internet security software for the length of your Plan". While I will appreciate having this coverage if my son accidentally drops his laptop or has other issues, I am very disappointed that I have spent several hours on the phone being transferred from person to person still with no help in the end even though it is stated on my website that this is in fact an included feature of my plan. Best Buy needs to stand behind what they put on their website and train their employees to understand these plans so the consumer is not given false information. I would have recommended this to others had I not wasted countless hours on the phone trying to remedy this situation, but because I got nowhere with over 10 agents because none of them understood the plan, I cannot in good faith recommend this to anyone.

I hope this warranty works well with this product. I have been disappointed when purchased this warranty for my other electronics. We shall see what the future holds. Other places offer more years at this price.

The young man who helped me was unaware of the material I was asking for. He seemed to be confused. I also asked for a booklet regarding the coverage of my computer and there was not one available.

I haven't had to use this yet. I have used it in the past on other machines and it varies from time to time counter employee to counter employee, on quality of service. just be patient.

Past warranty was used several times for same problem. Techs were never able to really fix the issue involved with past keyboard. Hopefully a new product will grant better outcome.

To be fair, I haven’t utilized their services, but I have a feeling that what they offer is not the same as just calling the support number specific for your computer.

In particular I had asked to have all the bloatware removed but I had to do that myself when I got home.
