Great Price on Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this 39 in. Smart roku tv for 229$. Setting up the tv was easy and the remote is simple enough to figure out on ones own. I come to best buy for theirs good prices on top quality products.

Happily surprised

I was debating between a Sony and Samsung but this Insignia was next to them and I could not justify spending more money for the same image quality and "smart", where the other two brands in that price range were $50 more expensive and weren't "smart" which meant adding some $30 for a chromecast. The setup was very easy and we are happy with our purchase.

Okay after almost a year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's been almost a year and I've noticed that the tv would either pause in the middle of my show and show the Insignia Roku sign as if I was just turning on the tv again. I don't know why it's doing it, but other than that so far it's been okay.

Do Not Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to have my insignia tv replaced a few months ago because of issues with the TV restarting itself all the time while using Hulu. I'm now noticing that while using Netflix that It will basically freeze in the middle of whatever you're watching and restart itself without warning just as the first TV I had used to do. This happens every time I use Netflix and that is basically all I use since I don't have cable. Since this is the 2nd TV that this problem has occurred on my advice would be not to purchase this TV or any other Insignia brand TV and go with a different brand altogether. I haven't even had the TV for a year and I feel ripped off.

WiFI Unreliable

Not a good smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this TV for six months, if I had it to do over I would have spent more money and gotten a good quality TV, I have been very disappointed with my purchase. Every time I turn the TV on I have to wait an excessively long time for it to actually come on and connect with my satellite box, and if I try to actually use the smart features and stream a video or TV show the TV will lose it's WiFi connection and I'll have to reset the setting's in the TV or unplug it and plug it back in so that the connection will reset. Nothing else in my home that's connected to my WiFi has issue's losing it's connection, just the TV.

Keeps turning off

Kept Rebooting Itself
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this and within the first 2 week it kept rebooting when using Netflix so I exchanged it for another new one, then the replacement unit did the same thing. ( I returned the 2nd unit and got a Samsung for a few dollars more and it is perfect). My wifi signal is strong and over 200 mbps so I know it wasn't the wifi. Then I looked up other reviews and realized that this is a known glitch. It was annoying because I had wall mounted both units so I had to take them down each time to return them. The one thing I have to mention is that customer service at the Middletown NY location was superb, exchanging the unit for me, then ultimately refunding my purchase price after the failure of the 2nd unit. The employees were very pleasant and great to deal with and didn't give me a hard time at all.

Poor internal componets
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This tv runs like it has 100mb Ram left for the end user- Slow, unresponsive 80% of the time and the interal wifi had to come from cracker jack box. These reviews will not serve you well this tv is a lemon Stay away I want to throw the TV about 60% of the time im watching it. You have been warned.

Good while it works - then fails

It's been a generally decent set, needing a reboot every now and then. Good color. Sound is fair, but okay through my sound system. Pretty happy until today. I'm completely locked out. Can't get to the home Roku screen. Reset locks up, and won't connect to devices. Remotes fail. Factory reset starts but won't complete. Not real happy with the set right now.

Good features, bad picture

This tv has horrible sound. I can't customize it to sound well at all. Music on most shows is much louder than voices. Also, this tv will occasionally "pixelize" the image. Returned the first one I bought because I thought it was defective, but the replacement does the same thing. Buy something else.

Absolutely Horrible

Regardless of the app I use the tv consistently lags, than freezes and then the only option is to unplug the tv. I checked to see if there were updates that may be causing the crash but everything is up to date. Every time I sit down to relax, I literally wait for these issues to take place, if I don't have an issue for about 20 minutes I consider myself lucky. I expected the sound and picture quality not to be great given the price. Taking the tv back, i am past the return policy of the tv so if they will not switch it out I'll most likely throw it in the trash at the store and then cringe because I'll be buying another tv. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra money on quality as it will save you the frustration that comes along with it. Insignia is Best Buy's brand, they should consider taking it off the shelves considering the high volume of unsatisfactory reviews not indicated on this site. Hopefully this saves you grief. I learned the hard way unfortunately.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give this product and the Best Buy Geek Squad negative stars if it was possibleI bought this model in December of 2017 and only had it for 6 months when issues started occurring. At first, the streaming started to freeze,but no other devices in the house were having issues. Then the jack for the sound bar quite working and the tv took to shutting itself off. I purchased the 5 year extended warranty, so I took it into Geek Squad. They had my tv for 2 weeks before I got it back and within hours of having it home, all the same problems were occurring. I was told they installed a new circuit board and tested the tv when I picked it up. So I again took it back to the store and was given a store credit to purchase only a new tv. While looking,I spoke to one of the sales people in the tv dept. and he said he would never recommend the Insignia brand because it is of VERY poor quality. So I added money and bought a Samsung brand. You know it's pretty bad when the store's own employee says your own brand is garbage quality.
