Okay, so I haven't actually used Geek Squad yet, but the whole thing seems pretty useful. Tech stuff can be a total headache, and the idea of just having someone else handle it is definitely appealing.
It seems like they can help with pretty much anything – fixing your internet, setting up new devices, that kind of thing. Honestly, it's a good option if you're not really into troubleshooting and just want things to work. Seems reliable.

The guy at the Clarksville Best Buy Geek squad is amazing. Very personal and understanding and extremely knowledgeable. You should pay him more money $100/hr so he won't go anywhere else.

Having this warranty is a security blanket in case something goes wrong with the monitor. So far so good, but knowing that I have this in place provides a lot of security.

I love the protection plan for the simple fact of i can take it in to get fixed or if theres nothing they can do I simply get a new one. No issue or questions asked. I have kids and they tend to break things so for the low price of a new support plan my worries are quickly gone. I have used this many timea to repair/replace my tech.
I remember specifically my Arctis Pro headset went out. Battery stopped charging on the dock and my headset was having trouble connecting. Painfully enough they had changed over to the new Arctis Nova Pros so I couldnt get what I had before. With this plan I got what i paid originally back and used that to buy the new Nova Pros. Had them ever since.
I never go without the plan. It may cost a bit upfront but on the backend never having to worry about it breaking again is a no brainer. Ypu have to purchase a new plan when you replace the item but thats cheap compared to what the item costs.

Here's the short version: according to the store manager of where I'd bought my monitors, this warranty does not cover any physical damage of monitors or TVs. Additionally, it runs concurrently with the manufacturers warranty.
Here's the long version:
To be clear, the only reason this isn't a 1-star is because of the store manager openly acknowledging the issues of this warranty plan and issuing a refund for it.
Now, on to the story.
I bought 3 monitors from Best Buy in in March 2023 with 1-year manufacturer warranties and this 4-year geek squad extended warranty. In April 2024 one of the monitors had an accident, causing the display to crack, but no external damage (you could run your fingers along it, even at the shatter point, and there was no damage). So, I hopped on here to pursue the warranty information and was told by Live chat support that the damage was covered and that I only needed to take it into the store.
Got to the store and the technician that was assisting me couldn't make heads nor tails of the options in the system for the warranty. He asked two other employees, but none of them had ever seen this warranty in the system before. Queue the store manager being called in. She recognized it right away and explained that the warranty plan for monitors and TVs does not cover any physical damage.
I had I chime in at that point. I don't do electrical work anymore, but I know it is physically impossible for a basic TV or monitor (not talking those smart TV things) to stop working without physical damage, so I said as much. Gotta give credit where it's due, she didn't hesitate, baulk, or make any attempt to talk out of that. Instead, she acknowledged that the reality is that the warranty was basically worthless. I mentioned that on another of my monitors the power button barely works anymore and she said that it wouldn't be covered.
When asked what would be covered, she answered that anything that is damaged internally would be. So I showed her that there was no physical damage to the outside of the monitor, but it still wasn't going to be covered.
I wasn't going to raise a stink over it. She'd be completely forward with me and didn't shy away when faced with the simplest of logical counters. So, I went ahead and thanked her and the technicians for their time looking into things.
As I went to grab the monitor to leave, she stopped me and offered to refund the warranty plans (prorated). I thought, "great, I'm only a month into the plan since the manufacturers warranty only ended last month." That thought was quickly ruined. When I asked about the refund not being nearly the full amount, she explained that the geek squad warranty run concurrently with the manufacturers warranty. Basically, I was 1 year and 1 month into the extended warranty when I was only 1 month out of the manufacturers warranty. Instead of a 4-year extended warranty, it was really only a 3-year extension. If the manufacturers warranty was 2- or 3-years, this extended warranty would've been practically worthless.
Still, nearly 3/4 of the cost being refunded is better than nothing, especially when I hadn't even considered that as an option. I had simply accepted that I was out the full cost of the plans.

A few weeks ago, my laptop started acting weird—it wouldn’t turn on, and I had no idea what to do. I brought it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy, and they were super nice right from the start. They listened to my problem, asked a few questions, and said they’d take a look.
After a couple of days, they called me back to explain what was wrong. They said the battery needed to be replaced and that they could fix it quickly. They even explained it in a way that made sense, which was helpful because I don’t know a lot about computers.
When I got my laptop back, it worked perfectly, just like new! The whole process was easy, and they were patient and friendly the whole time. The only downside was that it cost a little more than I expected, but it was worth it to have my laptop working again. I’d definitely go back if I needed help.
