I always get this protection- JIC.. This is first time I used it - took awhile to replace my microwave-oven which wasn't even 2 yrs old - but had been discontinued. However -eventually got one - just had to pay difference in price between old one and new one and get new protection plan. Too bad they don't have loaners as one month without microwave is a LONG time. Luckily they found similar product - practically identical actually- so I got one sooner.

I've had this service for many years! It has served me well!

Haven’t had to use and hopefully won’t. But peace of mind especially considering products seem to have less longevity.

I i+used this on the Microwave, I have not had to use this yet, but glad I have it.

Returned microwave to Geek Squad. Sent out microwave for evaluation/repair and 3 days later received email that return was accepted and credit would be issued!

I haven't had to use it. I bought it because it sounded like an inclusive and easy to execute plan.

Warranty’s are usually not worth it but with any appliance that uses water I’d recommend it. Also Best Buy warranty for OLED is the best. Eventually you’ll get burn in after many years. But having the 5 year warranty just gives you the easy of mind in case a pixel burns out.

Never buy anything electronic without Geek Squad protection. I have had three flat screen tvs go bad and all were replaced at minimal charge and with no significant delays.

If it wasn't for the Geek squad protection plan . I would had been up the creek without a paddle. So I would tell anybody to purchase the Geek squad protection plan it might seem like alot of money at the time of your purchase of your product. But you will have a peace of mind if something happens years down the road.

whats better than extra protection !! i try to get this everytime i make a large purchase because why would i waste my money if something break and i try to return it after the manufactures deadline.

Best Buy employees said that the 2 year warranty would allow for a no hassle replace if the microwave failed. When it failed 17 months after purchase, the would not honor that promise, but forced us to pay the difference in the price since it increased since the first purchase. The same model was available but they would not swap it without us paying more, Don't trust the sales people that push these extended warranties as they over promise and when you need it, under deliver.

they do not repair! they just pay you money for the same stuff that you have, so if it is cheaper than before, you get less money than what you paid for your item! But the point is: you used the stuff for a while!

Just bought a new microwave with the Geek Squad Protection. Not much to review actually. Its worked just fine so far.

I’ve had this microwave for over a year now and it’s been great. Heats evenly, never over cooks and is easy to keep clean. Small compact size works great in my kitchen. Overall it’s a stylish modern microwave that doesn’t have the usual annoying sounds when your food is done.

Always buy insurance if items no longer available upgrade to similar or better

After I read some of the reviews on other models by various brands I bought the 4 year insurance plan just in case something breaks. I am replacing a 1992 Magic Chef microwave oven that is still performing excellent. However moving we weren't able to bring it with us as it was a build in over the range model. So I just wanted that extra bit of insurance just incase.

Its great 4 year warranty work well if the unit breaks after 3 years, but less then 6 months is bad for business because when you return it, they ask you if you use the manufacturer you need to mail it and wait long to get a respond. but if you use the geek squad, you need to buy another warranty.

I got the Geek Squad Protection on my new Sony A8H 65" TV and haven't had to use it yet. I saved over $600 on the TV with guaranteed price match so used it to get the GSP. I hope I never need it but my son had it on his TV and when he needed Geek Squad, they solved the problem.
