Hello all,
I gave a five star rating because I am continually impressed with the quality of service received from the Geek squad. I have purchased three products from Best Buy in the last year. Each product was installed by the Geek squad or with their support. Their team is professional, polite and knowledgeable.

I received a full refund for my open box purchase Sony 7.2 4K channel receiver that had lost the ability to give out sound signals to my speakers. This was my favorite receiver that i purchase over a year ago or more as an open-box item.
Geek Squad services has always and will always be a major security warranty blanket for all your important electronic items/equipment in the case you may need a repair, replace an item if not fixable or get a refund on all your major important electronic purchases. In some cases, you can exchange item for another of equal value or even a different higher brand with a store manager approval base on the item selling price.

So far sound good they replaced my surround sound system because somehow it got damaged in transit from the warehouse where they do the repairs i say it's good to have for peace of mind. For after the factory warranty expires.

I have purchased the Geek Squad Protection for a number of items over the years, but I had only needed it once. I had purchased a coffee maker for about $160 and it lasted me about 22 months before it stopped working. I forgot that I had purchased the Geek Squad Protection for it, but I found my contract information in my e-mail after a simple search.
I brought the coffee maker to my local Best Buy store, explained my situation to the returns associate, showed my contract number, and I was given a refund for the purchase price of the coffee maker. Fortunately, a newer model of the coffee maker was available at $10 less than what I had previously paid and I also received a $15 gift card as part of a promotion for purchasing that particular coffee maker. And, yes, I did purchase the Geek Squad Protection again for my new coffee maker.
