Good sound but the tweeter is a bit to high pitched. More of a sharp hiss instead of separating cymbals and mid range sounds like bongos, and steel drums and guitars are really screaming high pitched with no range. But for $50 dollars and mixed with a subwoofer and center speaker you can get them to blend well. I only listen in stereo but and a center speaker and subwoofer and play in all channel stereo on my amplifier and it works. If your not and audiophile and just want some better bass and sound for you home theater then these will do the job. I recommend to an older age group as younger people will hear the flaws in the highs. My parents think they sound great in their home.

For the price on sale these can't be beat. They are one of the only speakers you can get for under $100 with a crossover. They are even better than the Polks. The are very detailed and pretty bright sounding but a little lacking in bass. I eventually upgrade to the Pioneer BS22 which are warmer and have more bass but I always recommend these to people when they're on sale. I'm using them in my kitchen now and they still surprise me.

For the price these Insignia's are amazing set of speakers, i can't believe how good these sounded with my Yamaha Stereo receiver, these speakers produce very detailed sound and MID-RANGE is what these speakers will produce for you with exceptional quality with decent Bass output (don't expect much from a 5.25 inch speaker), you definitely would need to add a Sub-woofer if you really want some good amount of BASS. Very good speakers and i am extremely happy with the purchase.

Woundeful little speakers nothing special just really clean with all types of music from metal to country. Got these on special for 40 bucks even better deal. These are not bass heavy but of you have a receiver with bass adjust it works well. For overall audio I do sugest adding the powered 8in sub from pioneer really brings out these speakrs. Allrhough they are great on there own as well.

For playing music, I needed a better set of fronts than my cheap Monoprice 5.1 set provided. A search for good affordable speakers led to glowing reviews for the NS-SP213 pair with the one weakness being lows. Well, a subwoofer takes care of that and these musical speakers are fantastic for the price! Lovely highs and balanced mids make them great for listening to music and movies.

Speakers have good sound, were pretty easy to hook up and are inconspicuous.

I bought these speakers and hooked it up to a matching Insignia receiver. The sound quality is great and more than enough for a room. However, the speakers could use some more bass. A subwoofer needs to be added if you want more bass. Otherwise, sound quality is good for the price.

For the price you paid, you are getting decent sound out of it. the bass not as crazy but the vocal is very clear. If you don't want to pay for the top name brand, I think this is way to go!

I purchased these speakers for use in my garage and they work very well. Bass response isn't the greatest but they sound good. They do what they are supposed to for the price.

These speakers are loud and produce very good sound. Unless you're looking to spend substantially more on a set, these can't be beat. Very happy with my purchase and my be buying more.

I bought these to replace my left and right front speakers that came with my home theater system and they are fantastic! Much better than my Samsung speakers and can't beat the price!

Overall, the sound was good but lacked an appropriate level of a bass sound. I really wanted Polk speakers, they were not on sale. Although for the price, the Insignia speakers are not a bad purchase.

I bought these to replace older and much bigger speakers that were part of a surround sound system. These were just right, sound great, and worked great with my original system.

I love these speakers. I have another set of Insignia speakers that I've had for years and the sound is great. I had read good reports years ago on an AV forum about how good they were and were as good or better than many other more expensive and well-known speakers, and they sure were, so when I needed another set--no question. And these speakers are just as good.

We picked these up for my sons garage and frankly did not expect a whole lot sans the price. We fired up the old Denon amp and these babies came to life. We were stoked by the awesome sound of these things especially since we are both audiophiles. These are perfect for a small room, bedroom, etc. Your teenager will love them too when paired with an inexpensive receiver or amp hooked to their pads. Spotify sounded great also. These are worth more than they cost and I love what they deliver for the bucks. Sound this good has never been this cheap !!!

The speakers have a great sound, were easy to mount and the price was really good for the quality.

Right and Left speakers for a 5.1 channel amp. Good sound quality, small size and neat appearance works well with my system.
