I was looking for a small, inexpensive, music system with speakers that would have FM radio, play CD's, and an aux input for my iPod. I started looking at the uber expensive models by Bose, Polk, but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a system going in to our guest house (AirBnB) When I found this Insignia™ - 50W Bluetooth CD Compact Shelf System on the discount shelf (open box) for $75.00, I knew I had found what I was locking for! Took me about five mins to set it up, right out of the box, and using the included remote control, it easily switches from CD, to radio, to iPod and covers the whole room with great sound! Better get one of these quick before they are all gone!

This is a replacement system for our young teen. It is much smaller than the RCA system it's replacing and has much better sound. I am very impressed with both the sound and build quality. Bluetooth connectivity is a must have and this unit pairs well with iPhone 6, iPod touch and a Note 4. This system is a good value and it's clear to see why it is so well-rated.

Sound quality, ease of use is excellent. It doesn't search FM channels very well. But, you punch in the numbers on the remote and you are good to go. I love this stereo. Volume is great.

I bought this CD/BT player mainly because I have a small, yet important CD collection I wanted to listen too again. I now use it for way more than that! The CD player is great, it outputs great sound! You can also connect your BT device and play music on there as well. My only con for this is that sometimes the BT connection gets a little spotty, not sure if it's just my phone or what, but it's kind of frustrating. Aside from that, I love using it for local FM radio as well. Especially in central Kansas where tornadoes and severe thunderstorms are common. All together, I'm highly satisfied with this purchase.

This was the perfect solution for my office. I loved everything about this little unit. Perfect size, nice sound and the blue tooth was the best. A few days ago I was listening to the radio and it just went silent. Thought it may have been the radio station but it is not. Powers on for a few minutes then nothing. If I unplug it and wait a few hours, it plays for about 10 minutes and then goes out again. Well, enjoyed it while it lasted.

Good sound quality, bluetooth connectivity and an AM/FM radio. Using it in the garage to listen to Pandora and YouTube while working on the motorbikes and boat. Sound quality is above average for size. Above average fit and finish for the price. Will add a speaker distribution for additional speakers in the back of my shop.

I was looking for an amp to get better sound for my wide screen TV in the bedroom. Everything else was too large or too expensive, and I had speakers already. I tried this small bookshelf system and was amazed by the sound quality and versatility. Its capabilities are amazing, all electronic, and fully accessible with its remote. The speakers, though small use a 2-way design in a back-ported cabinet, and by using the right equalization selection and bass/treble adjustments can give a good, full sound, again all adjustable from the remote. I'm very pleased with it.

I was looking for a small stereo to provide music on my deck. I had a small space in the family room TV stand and wanted a small self-contained unit with external speakers. I wired this up to my outdoor speakers (also just bought Insignia outdoor speakers). The sound quality is great for such a small unit. I like the digital tuner, the multiple pre-set radio stations and the ability to connect to my phone or ipad via Bluetooth so I can play other sources like Pandora. A great value for the price.

Well actually you could. The headphone jack really should be on the front panel but that's about the only flaw I see and I've been using the system for a while now. Sounds good, works flawlessly. Looks nice, simple and elegant. I don't understand why the specifications state that MP3 players are not connectable considering that the manual suggests that one possible use for the AUX jacks on the back is to connect an MP3 player. You just need an adapter, minni-phono to audio jacks. And, it doesn't help that someone posted an image of the MP3 player non compatibility stats. Oh, and it might be more useful and convenient if the AUX input was on the front panel in the form of a minni-phono jack. But neither this nor the headphone jack placement should be deal breakers. They little affect me and I suspect would be of concern to very few others. In the end, it's a lovely unit that I expect I will get many years of enjoyment from.

I was looking for a bookshelf system for the bedroom and snagged this one when it was on sale. While in the store, also considered a Sony system which was almost twice the price but this one had a much better sound in the store. I'm very happy with the purchase. The system was so easy to setup and pair with bluetooth and the bookshelf speakers put out a great sound for a small/mid-sized room. Hooked the record player up to it and couldn't be happier with what I'm hearing. Not as good as my main system but works great for what I needed.

This was a Deal of the Day and at this price point my expectations were not high but this system is great. Good room filling sound with 3 sound settings good cord length for speaker separation. Only downside for me was no AM (I like listening to sports broadcasts) and DO NOT LOSE the remote. it would be really tough to operate without it.

I have limited space to place a music player and speakers and this one was a perfect size. It has all the bells and whistles, including a USB port and Sony speakers. The sound is great, it was easy to put together. Super happy with this product!

Great price for the product.i use it every day. It has a great sound and does not take up much room. It easily fits in the bookcase.

It is what was needed for simple listening of music and audio books in a small compact study area. I'm able to sit in my easy chair and change the CD's without a lot of manipulation. As an old guy I didn't want to convert my CD collection into the new fangled programs. Just want to put the CD into the machine and have a reasonable sound out. This fit the bill.

This is a great micro shelf unit, great sound, easy setup and fits very on shelf in bedroom.

I was looking for a nice shelf system for my mother in-law. She still has lots of cds to play but also wanted something to play her mp3 cds on too. This was perfect for her. It plays all her cds and mp3 cds plus she has a better tuner to pick up radio stations. It's nice and compact so it doesn't take up a lot of room. She is very pleased with this purchase.

I was looking for something to enhance the sound on my laptop and listen to music in my apartment and this system exceeded my needs. Bluetooth works well. Keep in mind my apartment is a studio, so the volume level is perfect for the space. I mostly use the usb port to listen to music, but the radio seems fine on the rare occasion I've used it.

Bought this for out in our garage and we love it! The only thing that annoys me is there are 30 presets available but we don't have 30 stations set so if you are scrolling though you will have to scroll back down after you hit the ones without a station preset. Otherwise we love it, bluetooth works great, speakers sound great, awesome little stereo system!

I received this as a gift. The sound is great, the bluetooth paired easily and it's compact. I would recommend this for most ages!
