Bought this compact bookshelf FM radio/CD player because it had an aux in (or line in) for my Sony turntable (for playing vinyl records). FM radio has 30 presets--easy to do. No AM radio, but that is not a problem for me. Sound remarkably good for such a compact and inexpensive bookshelf system. Recommended!

Bought as a gift for someone that lived at a Senior Housing. Perfect for the shelf area available. EASY to use all features with remote. Sounds great and is enjoyed daily .

After letting the speakers break in and loosen up. The whole system has great detail and clarity no matter what type of music u like. It doesn't have strong bass to pack a punch yet gives you the lower frequencies. There's enough to give the music full body. Its great for small spaces yet lacks the power for anything bigger than a bedroom.

I bought this after looking for a new CD player. I wanted something that I could connect to my iPod. The sound quality is amazing. I have one speaker on one side of my bed and the other speaker on the other side. It makes it sound like it is all throughout the room. The remote makes it easy to switch to CD, Bluetooth (my iPod) and radio.

This system puts out decent sound but definitely not a powerhouse. I bought it for my outside gazebo and it's good enough for there. If you're looking for high end stuff then buy high end. This is priced cheap and provides decent sound. Probably best in a teenagers bedroom, office, or a garage.

Plays cd's, mp3's, has an auxiliary input and its blue tooth! I was also impressed by the sound, great for a bed room/ small office

The stereo is easy to set up. I have it hooked to my television for a "surround sound" effect therefore I do not need to purchase a sound bar for my TV! It has very good sound quality and is very user friendly and easy to use.

This system is great for those who love music in any style. Very easy to set up and operate, with superb sound for a small office or room. We would recommend this system to any one looking to add a little something extra to any room in your home or office.

This is a nice little unit for the price. It is compact. Good sound. My only complaint is the display is hard to read. I wanted something I could connect my IPod and SiriusXM radio to. I am using it outdoors on my deck and it fits the bill. It's not to be left out in the elements though.

I researched quite a lot before purchasing this stereo. I really like it doesn't take up a lot of space and has a very good sound. The remote works just great. I have two small complaints one the writing on remote is gray on black hard to see. Two I wish it had a clock. Overall I really like it and would buy again.

I bought this for my lady friend, who wanted a compact shelf system for listening to fm radio and CDs. We've found that it performs well for its modest price and size. I spent a couple of bucks for some 12 gauge speaker wire, but even with skinny wire provided, the sound from the little speakers is surprisingly resonant and precise. The one negative we've noticed is that the volume at a given setting can go way up or down, depending on the medium you're using. In going from fm to some cds, you have to double the volume setting to get the same output level, which means that if you don't turn the setting back down when you switch back to fm, your ears get blasted. A minor nuisance: hopefully making the correction will become second nature. All things considered, a good little system. Like another reviewer, I'd tried the comparable Sony system and returned it. I think this one performs better.

Bought this for my man cave and couldn't be happier. Wanted something better than a portable that wasn't going to break the bank.Great highs and lows from the speakers. Not a huge issue but was surprised to find there was not an AM radio available

We have only used the radio two days so far, so can't review it thoroughly yet. We have it set up in our unfinished basement & I am able to pull in many radio stations. The sound quality is great & the volume exceeds what I thought it could do (based on previous reviews). It gets nightclub loud. This very compact stereo system puts out great tones. Very impressed so far. I still have to learn all the functions & save my favorite stations. But so far it gets 2 thumbs up!

Was looking for a compact Stereo system for a small library area (12 x 15) and this system is perfect. Sound quality is great for background music, easy and straightforward to use.

We needed a small unit that we could use for listening to MPR, and our favorite CDs. When the grandkids come over they can use Bluetooth to hook up their music from their iPhones. Sound is great and now we have dance parties with the girls doing the latest dance moves!!

This little stereo fits the space we have and the sound is great without blowing us out of the house when our teenage daughter turns it up in her room. She loves it, we love it.

It's hard to find a decent CD player and our last one did not last long. This Insignia player was a great price and has a Bluetooth feature which allows for more music options than just cds. I would have given a 5 star if we were able to easily see where we were on the cd better, i.e. a counter showing track number and minutes/ seconds, which we need. You can't fast forward easily within a track to find a specific place and if you press pause, the CD player turns off automatically if you are gone too long and doesn't save where you paused. I wish Insignia would have improved this, otherwise sound quality is great for a small cd stereo player.
