This is a nice compact shelf system and was well thought out. It has a clean neat and non-gaudy look like many shelf systems do, which are glorified boom-boxes from the 1980s! The build quality of the unit makes an overall impression of 'solid'. The sound is very nice and clear with plenty of volume. The total range of the song is definitely there and of speakers this size of course your just not going to get those real sub-sonic waves, but what do you expect? They're not sub woofers! For their size the speakers do put out a surprisingly dynamic range with what I'd call satisfying bass and very outstanding highs and mids... and I'd have to say I would describe the overall sound as Bose-like... But unlike say the Bose wave radio this is way less money. I give it all stars because I'm comparing apples to apples, with other shelf systems and for what it does in its class and size.

Purchased as a gift or my elderly mother whose older system had finally stopped working. Needed a straightforward system with not too many bells and whistles. Radio set-up is more complicated than it needs to be, but figured it out. Decent sound for the price. CD drive seems a bit flimsy, but it will be used by someone who is very gentle with things, so shouldn't be a problem.

I bought this on clearance. I was looking for something to replace a 25 year old boombox. The sound is decent and you can adjust bass/treble. What I don't care for is that it goes into standby mode after a few minutes of non play, unlike the boombox. It takes a little longer than I like when you turn it on for the system to warm up and open the cd door. For the cost, it is nice looking, nice sounding, compact and doesn't take up much space. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase.

I wanted a little "all-in-one" system for my den that would let me to listen to the radio, play a CD or use Bluetooth - that didn't look like the old "ghetto blaster". I love this little system - and for $99 am tickled. I listened to others in the store that were $200 - $300 more - and I have no regrets over this purchase. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but it gets the job done and I use it every day. Speakers are pretty darn good, too. I say that because I also recently bought a major brand 5:1 system (surround sound) for my living room and these little bookshelf speakers could be integrated with that no problem. In terms of looks, it doesn't command a lot of attention but that's what I wanted; very simple black system. Most of the functionality is handled by a remote, even tuning the radio. If I could tweak anything - I would add a manual tuner as an option for the user. That is the only reason I am not giving it a full 5 stars. If I could, I would add a half star back for a deserving 4.5.

I bought this to replace my old boombox that I have used for years. It has great sound quality and is easy to use the bluetooth to play music off my phone. Would dedinitely recommend.

I got this for my daughters' room and they love it! They can play the radio, cds, or their ipods through Bluetooth. It was easy to set up and fits on their bookshelf. Great sound for their room!

Purchased for use in the garage, and the Bluetooth capabilities. I stream NFL football from my iPad to the stereo and it works perfectly. I also added a small subwoofer by using the "positive" side from the left speaker, and the "negative" side from the right speaker, and it adds a nice punch to the music audio.

Despite its small size, the sound quality is very good. The bluetooth connectivity feature is handy also - it works flawlessly with an iPhone.

Very good sound and build quality for a mini system this inexpensive ($90). Good choice for a dorm room or bedroom. Easy to set up and use. All of the features work as expected.

Was looking for small system to play cds on. Bought this system and was very happy with the sound. Also radio stations came in great for where I live. Did not take up much space.

Sound is deep and rich with minor distortions. Bluetooth hooks up easy. Bought this for my sons room and it does the job. I jsut wish it had a clock as well

I needed a small home stereo for my kitchen. This works great, sounds great, and isn't too big and looks classy and not overly flashing like a lot of the other stereos. The blue tooth function is awesome.

This has great sound for a little system. Bluetooth is great to hook-up to get all the music that has been downloaded . Very impressed for a little system.

This bluetooth CD compact system was easy to set up. The radio was easy to program and the sound is great. This is of sturdy construction and feels solid. Def happy with the purchase.

Great sound for the price. I've been looking for a smaller compact disc player for awhile. I picked up the item on the same day I ordered it. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Nice little unit and is as good as you would expect for the price. If you don't take advantage of the tuner presets it is a pain to go from one station to another. Track numbers on cd do not display until after a long pause, so moving around for a particular song is also a bit of a pain. Does sound good and gets good reception with the antenna. using mine in the garage.

Bought this for my 12 year old son. He is thrilled with it! It's a great small stereo with great sound. Very easy to use.

I am very pleased with the quality of this stereo. It is the perfect size for my back patio and pool area. It has good sound and the remote works great from 40 feet away when I am in my pool. Be sure to put the remote in a sealed bag if you use it like I do. The price is great and the system was easy to set-up.
