We were shopping around for a home theater system that was not too expensive but performed quite well. After speaking to the assistant manager at one of Best Buy's branches in San Diego, we were convinced to purchase this Yamaha home theater system. My husband was able to install it with no issues. We are very pleased with the excellent sound quality and the ease of use in operating the system.

I got this when my other surround sound just stopped working, the other one I had was discounted and took my chance with this one. I am glad my other one broke because when we got this and set it up at home it was movie time in minutes and the sound is the best. It didn't break the bank either.

I had an old yahama box system and it has more speaker capability and easier to use. So after trying this one out, ended up returning just because my old receiver that was still working actually had more options to use it than this new one. Has great audio quality though. Just not a fit for our house.

This system works very well with my Comcast DVR, my TIVo Bolt, and my AppleTV. But it works best with my AppleTV as it understands HDMI ARC very well. It is very easy to setup and the auto adjustment of the 5 channels via Yamaha's mic system is outstanding. The bass can be a little too strong but is easily adjustable through many different methods. This points out how thoroughly Yamaha has built its configuration options and software into this system's options menus which can be viewed directly on your TV.

I was looking for a moderately priced system to replace my old Kenwood receiver that was showing its age. I was going to purchase one of the Blu-ray player systems for less money, but really wanted the receiver capabilities. Even though this cost a little more, I am very pleased with it. The sound is clear and the preset "scenes" work okay for me since I'm not that interested in fine tuning with a full equalizer. The only issue that I have is that when I have tried to connect the set-top box through the receiver to the television, I cannot get the tv to play off of the receiver, so I've just made direct connections instead. It works fine, just requires more wires. To be fair, this may be related to the model of TV that I have rather than the receiver. I like this product and would recommend it.

Easy setup. Plenty of power. Bass is great. Clean sound. Lots of Hdmi inputs. I've owned 3 other htib and this is the best I have had. Glad I bought it, and also purchased a 2nd for my son. 2 thumbs up.

For the price it is a great system. My tv only had 3 hdmi outputs so I couldn't hook up everything I had. This system uses has 6 ports which allow my to have my ps4, Xbox one, directv, chromcast all on one unit. It was great and the sound is great and clear.

This all in one system is absolutely outstanding. My wife and I are using the system in our basement, and the sound system more than fills the room. The bass shakes the ground and the speakers sound very crisp. This is an amazing system for under $500.

I was replacing an old RCA home theater system. I liked the multiple HDMI inputs. Initially, I got the receiver sold separately, but returned it for this total system. The new system uses all HDMI without the optical cable. Also, thei system has powered subwoofer. It was a trick to set up, but sounds great. Good sale.
