Customers admire the fun gameplay and deep crafting system in 7 Days to Die, often comparing it to a combination of Fallout and Minecraft. However, some players have noted occasional lag and controls that require some adjustment. The crafting system is a particular highlight for many.

I played this game for 40 minutes and turned it off. I don't really understand the point and have to say this is the first time that I have been disappointed in anything that has come from Tell Tale. This is the first game in a long time I am going to trade in.

The idea sounds very promising but I feel it is very poorly designed. Something like I would play back in 2005. Poor graphics. I felt overwhelmed playing this game, so much to do and with the timer (day and night), I just did not enjoy it. I still have it and maybe will give it another shot, but so far it did not impress.

The company that produced this game and brought to ps4 should be ashamed of themselves. This game looks and feels like it belongs on Atari, actually atari would of been an upgrade. I do not recommend this game. I only gave it a one star because I had to select at least one to post this.

Probably the worst PS4 game I've ever played. The game is a good idea, but game play is terrible, graphics are pretty bad. I was looking for a couch Co op game, it is split screen, but you don't work together at all. Don't waste your money

This game's graphics is not worthy of a 4k game. This game is reminiscent of an old MSDOS game. The action is slow and choppy at best. Definitely not worth buying.

7 Days to Die originated as a PC game and is still currently in alpha status. It developed such a cult following that the developer decided to port it to current generation consoles. Be aware that the game is still in alpha for PC, so it is fairly rough for a console game. The game was released for about half the price of your typical new console game which is a plus. The game started as a simple idea by a couple guys who liked to play video games. They wanted to combine aspects of crafting and wilderness survival in a post apocalyptic world infested with zombies. Keeping the origin of this game in mind, the graphics are not next gen and don't have a big budget supporting the visual presentation. This game is purely about crafting structures and/or bases to survive zombie hordes that try to attack every 7th night. The crafting system is fairly deep and looting nearby towns doesn't seem to get old. The skill progression system is fairly well developed and unfolds at a decent rate to not allow for over powered characters at the onset of the game. Skills and technology develop at an acceptable rate. Due to the fact that the game is a direct port from an alpha PC game, it has its bugs such as frame rate drops, hit detection inconsistencies, and texture loading problems. The developer has nicely supported the PC version and has slowly but surely created a great game with a lot of replayability, and I assume that the support will be present for the console versions as well. I knew what I was purchasing prior to buying the game and I was fine with the product providing that patches and updates will role out in the next few months. DON'T BUY this game if you think you're getting a graphical masterpiece because you will be disappointed, but DO BUY this game if you want to build homes, assemble weapons, stage traps, and take on hordes of the undead while trying not to die of starvation, dehydration, or from the elements. I am happy with my purchase. Thanks to the publisher Telltale, and the developer The Fun Pimps for bringing this game to the home console systems.

    Great game

This game could be the greatest survival/crafting game of all time. There are so many things that you can do in this game that you should NEVER get bored with it. The pure fact that you can build essentially ANYTHING you want and also can dig any kind of tunnel you would like, shows how innovative this game is. The only reason I am not giving this game 5 stars is due to the issues with overheating. When you are playing and get into days 2 and 3 you almost have to be nude in order to stay at a normal temperature. The only other gripe I have is that the game will lag for just a split second every few minutes. Those are the only two problems I have found with the game thus far. Everything else is very fun, and extremely challenging! Great Job to Telltale games on this one.

    Fun Yet Flawed Game

This was originally a pc title that is now a PS4 port. If you enjoy crafting and survival games then this certainly will be of interest to you. Being a PC original title, the controls leave something to be desired. Those used to Minecraft will notice the that crafting screens are best designed for use with a mouse and not a controller and that Minecraft is much easier to navigate. There are also the occasional momentary freezes during gameplay. Nothing gamebreaking but annoying and hopefully something that will be addressed in later updates. If you can look beyond the flaws you have a very enjoyable title that doesn't hit every mark but is entertaining. 7 Days to Die is worth your time if you accept it for what it is.

    Rough state at current time...

This game (Just like on PC) is a work in progress. It has great potential but expect a buggy game for now. There will be updates coming for the game to make it better and polish it. If you're used to early access games on PC then you'll know what to expect. Co-op online (and split screen on same console) is a plus as whenever you can add a friend to play with, it adds to the game. Again there are issues and the graphics aren't exactly "Next gen" -far from it - but overall the game is fun. It's basically a Minecraft type game set in a zombie/post apocalyptic time. Lots of crafting etc.. The 3 stars are for how the game is at current state. Hopefully with the continued updates the game will get better and better. Don't expect a AAA game by far but for 30.00 (Less with GCU membership) I think it's worth grabbing.

Oh boy... 10 minutes of a very poor experience.

Wow... What a disappointing 10 minutes. I have tried this game on PC and it seemed somewhat decent, so I figured I'd give it a go since it had multiplayer, splitscreen, and trophies for consoles... But the experience was bad to say the least. The core concept of the game seems like it could be fun, I like exploring, scavenging, managing resources, and surviving. But these aspects are sadly quickly overshadowed by big flaws, such as... Non-customizable characters, constant freezing, stuttering, and lag, buggy AI and objects, very clunky non-customizable controls, graphics very poorly optimized... literally becomes a headache to play. Overall the game is just a mess. Sure, you can say it can improve over time... But I don't think you should box such an unfinished game as this. I'd excuse a few hiccups, but this game has a lot more than a few hiccups.

I enjoy the PC version of this game alot. The PS4 one is generally the same but with more bugs. Its nice not to have to worry about if your other friends dont have a good enough PC to play it though. The PS4 platform is nice but I wish they had the option to connect to a dedicated server. Having to have one person always online and hosting is a pain.. especially if you want to play with multiple friends. The limit is 4 on PS4. This is is my biggest gripe.. Once they add the ability to connect to a server it will be great for PS4 players. Besides that I think this game is worth checking out. Especially for the price. I hope fixes come soon.

While this game is not fanatical about graphics, what it lacks in sparkle it makes up for in amazing gameplay. It mixes the creativity of Minecraft with the zombies from The Last Of Us and what you end up with a an open world survival adventure. My husband and I play this together online and have a ton of fun. There's definitely a steep learning curve, but stick with it and you'll be a pro in no time!

As my titles says, that's all it is. For those playing on consoles, don't expect to get a good looking game out of this, looks like old gen graphics, here's a little fact, this game is on PC, it's still in Alpha for 3 yrs meaning it's not fully complete, basically you're buying a game that may not get the same updates as PC. Well it's 30 or for me $23
