Let koi go at the outlets closer it appeared that most of them were defective and obstructed

Took it back and the rep pushed really hard and got prongs in. I don't know why it was so hard to push in. Also the outlet needs to be grounded and my house is so old not grounded. The energy saver does not work without ground.

Keeps shutting down equipment

A Good Standard Surge Protector
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my old surge protector w/ this new one and it works on my cable box, 55" tv and surround sound. This surge protector only being $20.00 was half price compared to the other surge protectors at Best Buy. But when I got home I realize this new protector doesn't have an internet cable connection so I had to connect my cable the regular way not through the surge protector like I had previously. Which was not a big deal for us. Also, there is 2 plugs that are Energy Savers on the protector but to use that function you have to manually turn the function on & off at the surge protector.

We have not had a power surge yet, so I am hoping it works well in that situation. It just fit all of the cords for our current entertainment electronics (tv, cable box, router, blu-ray, X-Box), so maybe next time I buy I might go with a bigger surge protector in case we want to add more plugs. The only thing I am unhappy about is the energy savings part- you have to cut off energy to certain plugs, and I wish you could be more selective in which plugs you cut off energy to. It is not the biggest deal though.
