Great Protection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When we recently experienced a freak power surge at our home, we had four Insignia - 7-Outlet Surge Protectors plugged in with laptops and electronics plugged into them. The surge fried four small appliances and our front-load washer. The surge protectors melted to the floor, but protected our laptops and electronics. The power company told us without the surge protectors, the back surge of power would have blown our laptops and electronics. I went out and replaced every single one with exactly the same ones I had. It was worth it.

Power and electronics saver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice feature with the green power saver - I plug my 49" 4K UHD television into the master port, then a Blu-Ray player and a Sony soundbar and subwoofer pair into the sub ports, so when I turn off the television, the other equipment linked to the master port also shut off. However, when I turn on the television, I must turn each of the sub components back on. Also, a week ago, with the torrential rain here in Houston, there was intense lightening that struck very close several times, which was deafening. I was thinking of unplugging this surge protector just in case it couldn't handle whatever might come through the line if lightening struck, but I decided to trust it and left it plugged in. In the morning I checked the television and components and everything was working just fine.

Good for computer users only, and that's ok.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little concerned by it's fancy feature in this power strip, seeing as I've never seen a power strip with fancy features before. I plugged my pc into the master port. This smart strip will detect that a good amount of power is being used, and will allow power to the other plugs. In my case, a monitor and some speakers. When I put my PC to sleep or turn it off, the strip notices that I'm not using the pc and will cut power to the other plugs. Thus, saving energy. Great if your using it at a desk, but I wouldn't use it with a bunch of lamps or anything. Turn off the wrong thing, and they all turn off. On the other hand, that could be cool if you want to turn on multiple lights at once :3

Great at what it does
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed an additional outlet for my laptop and monitor, and decided to go for this as it was a decent price. As stated above, it does what it intends to do, supplying power to my electronics while providing protection against unexpected surges. It even has a feature where you can, for example, connect your computer to a master slot that controls the remainder of the slots. So when my laptop is in sleep mode or turned off, my monitor will automatically turn off to conserve power.

Nice surge protector
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this mainly for the power management feature that can link devices to each other and shut them all peripherals down if the main device is turned off. Sounded like a good way to save on my power bill. The jury's still out on that one. It would be nice though, if the outlets were spaced further apart on the strip, since if a device has anything larger than the standard 2-3 prong plug, it will block the adjacent outlets from being used. Kind of annoying.

iPad Pro: excellent (5); Activation: 0
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the iPad Pro is an excellent product, activating it with AT&T could not be done at BB..Tech person should have asked for another SSN (last 4 char). No word from BB that we needed to go to AT&T for SIM. Phone calls with AT&T. led to nothing. Finally went to AT&T store and they activated iPad in 10 minutes.Took advantage of sale price at BB and reward points, but activation at BB and dealing with AT&T on the phone led to nothing.after two hours.

good product, bad color
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.good power saving surge protector with master control feature. had the same product under the rocketfish brand and was very pleased so decided to get another. this model has the added function of turning off the master control which could be beneficial for some. just not thrilled about the bright white color. my rocketfish is black, and disapears nicely while this one sticks out like a sore thumb.

Does what it needs to do.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the heart of the unit it's a surge protector, but it also has master plugs which are a great feature. When I turn on my computer it senses it and powers other outlets to 'turn on'. This is a great feature as I have two additional backup drives attached and never have to power them on manually. It also provides always on outlets and this makes it a very versatile unit for a reasonable price. Highly recommened.

Q: QuestionDoes the blue on/off switch light up/illuminate?I purchased this surge protector; however, the blue on/off switch looks like it should light up (like on most power strips that have clear red/orange switches) when the switch is turned to on. I turn the power strip on, but the blue switch doesn't illuminate. Does the blue switch have a light within it that makes it illuminate when turned on?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The on/off switch does not illuminate on this model. There are two other LEDs on the unit that should light up when the unit is properly functioning.

Q: Questionis it good to use with 1light onDo both light need to be on when u use the surge
Asked by Rio.
- A:Answer No, the surge protector should be showing both lights when in proper operation. If the Protected LED is NOT lit, it may mean that the surge protector function has reached full capacity, and the unit can no longer provide surge protection. Your Power Manager may need to be replaced. If the Grounded LED is NOT lit, it means that your Power Manager is plugged into a non-grounded outlet and that you should use another outlet for full surge protection.

Q: QuestionDoes this have a 90-degree plug?
Asked by MHD.
- A:Answer Has a 90 degree plug for those hard to reach places, where other plugs would be pinned against the wall
