This surge protector works out of the box. No issues so far.

Check your current surge protector. How old is it? What is its joule rating? A " standard surge protector " got overwhelmed by a Florida summer lightning storm. This one worked during Los Angeles' 3-7-16 storm, which had lightening and thunder bad enough to set off car alarms all around my neighborhood.

Loved it, would recommend it to anyone. It stores a lot of information and has not cause me any problems. Best Buy does a great job with matching prices. Best Buy does a good job of having things in stock. Always impressed with this site. And always impressed with the best buy!

This is a great option if you want to start to go green. I have my TV as the master. I turn it on. Turns on my bose speakers, roku, and external hard drive. Turn off the TV, turns off those electronics. I have my modem and router in the "always on" outlets. It's been great thus far!

Just right for my set-up, the accessories that I only need when my TV is on automatically get deprived of power while the TV is off. But two other items plugged-in remain powered. Flat wall plug is another convenience.

Good surge protector for computers and TVs. You can plug the computer into the main plug and things like speakers and a heater in the alternate plugs so they all turn on and off with the computer.

This is a good surge protector despite being more expensive than other with the same protection rating and ports. The extra long cable is really what makes it helpful and stand out. Not a huge fan of the outlet protectors, however.

This surge protector has indicator lights that indicate function on. the feet actually make it more stable (in my application); the sockets are protected along with the switch itself so it is less likely to be shut off accidentally.

This is a great outlet. I bought it for the master control switch to turn off other devices when I am not watching TV. This feature works great as I have my TV as the master and my speakers, Blue-ray player, and cable box as master controlled.

This surge protector supports seven devices and includes power savings for devices associated with the master device. When the master device is turned off, power to the associated outlets is turned off also. Seems to work well.

I needed some very specific surge protectors. A very enthusiastic associate brought me to the section of the store where the item was displayed and he actually put all the items directly into my cart. Good job Bests Buy

Before purchasing this item, be aware that if you do not have something actually running or on in the one active outlet on the end, none of the other outlets will run - even of 2 of them are labelled "always on". It works for what I needed it for but we found that we could not use an "always on" plug for a floor lamp unless we had something on and in use in the far end outlet. the best use for this would be with a desktop computer system or something similar where none of the peripherals are in use if the main component is off.
