This review is based on use for side burns and touch ups on a shaved head. This is a good trimmer for basic detail and light trimming work. The adjustable guide/comb is a nice feature to allow you to quickly adjust the length of cut depending on need. The trimmer has a vacuum feature to trap the majority of the trimmed hair but this only works on shorter trimmings, I also used it on my shaved head (touch ups for clippers with no guard), this does not work as good and the hair can get jammed up in the collection screen. The trimmer can be used on battery power alone, or if the battery is depleted, it can be used while charging as well. The trimmer comes with an additional detail trimmer attachment head with guide combs for lining beards, sideburns etc. Pros: - Easy to adjust/use guide comb - Vacuum feature helps keeps loose hair from falling all over the sink - Quiet operation - Good cut quality, sharp blades with minimal hair pulling Cons: - Vacuum feature is not as effective on longer hair

It collects most of the hair! About 90% or so. Definitely much easier to clean

I replaced an older model with the 7000 and it is okay but I prefer the older model. I do not like pulling the blades to dump they hair out. The blade guard side tabs look like they will brake off if you are not careful.

Stays sharp and holds a charge well. Good product for the price.

This trimmer is a replacement of the exact model whose plastic tabs holding the cutting head to the body broke. Expect not to get more than two years out of this unit before breaking tabs. The blades on this brand new unit are duller than my two year old daily use one.

It cuts well at 20 different lengths. It vacuums up the majority of the hair which pleases my wife.

Had a previous version of this trimmer, which was decent and lasted a handful of years with some minor issues. This particular trimmer seems to take a step backwards in regards to the vacuum/overall design. My previous Norelco trimmer had a side panel which opened and closed quite easily for emptying trimmings and cleaning. I cannot understand why Norelco would remove that feature, and instead require the user to essentially disassemble the the buzzer in order to empty it (which has to be done multiple times during a single trimming, depending on the amount of hair you're working with). Furthermore, beard trimmings get stuck in the moving parts, which are loaded up with grease. I also do not like the bulky design of the adjustable comb. It is hard to judge where the blades are, which makes it difficult to trim straight lines (e.g. sideburns). Cumbersome to use, & creates an extra chore ontop of the usual general maintenance a beard trimmer requires.
