One of the best Christmas Movies of all time. Promotes the true meaning of Christmas. Too bad that people say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas.

I have always regarded the late George C. Scott as one of the best actors. To me, this is the definitive version of this story. I have seen a couple of other versions, and they suffer compared to his performance. The other cast of characters are also very good. People should watch this movie every Christmas.

George C. Scott gives a great performance! Worth a watch and Best Buy had good price on this Blu Ray that looks fantastic. However, no digital code isn included in this release. Only the BRD.

This is probably the best rendition of Dickens' to date! I always loved it and when I saw one last one sitting on the shelf 5 days before Christmas, I snagged it! A yearly favorite.

My favorite Christmas Carol moview. Had the DVD and decided to upgrade. Both Video and Audio have improved, but you're not going to get superior picture as this was an 80's TV movie :)

Since I first saw this version of A Christmas Carol on television as a child I have preferred it to any other version of the film to which I have been exposed. George C Scott plays Scrooge quite well in my opinion.

I myself prefer the older Christmas shows and this one is no exception, it was cleaned up from the original film it was shot with, no lines or anything that would degrade the picture. We will watch this show for years to come during the Christmas Season

My family & I love this classic movie. Each Christmas we love to find time to watch Christmas movies and this is one on the list!!! Great family comedy too with adult hidden humor. We also go see the play each Christmas as this movie and play get you into the Christmas spirit.

Great story of 1800’s life of poverty and the miser that lives in some of us and how the holidays can rob us of that giving spirit.

As the review summary states, this DVD is very basic--pretty much just the movie with no extras. imo that's to be expected with a movie this old. Best adaptation of A Christmas Carol ever, so a solid buy especially if you can get it on sale.

It's a must own. Best watched while decorating for the holidays. You should also consider the following: White Christmas, Elf, Miracle on 34th Street 1947 & 1994, It's a Wonderful Life, the Family Man, the Grinch, Scrooged, and box set that includes Rudolph and Frosty.

I was surprised my kids are the one asking to watch this movie, they told me it is a classic and they want to watch it. All of us at home watched it and it was great...I probably played this movie 40 times already but every year feels like the firs time...

This is my very favorite movie of A Christmas Carol because of George C. Scott. He is wonderful in this movie, and I watch it every year

The blue ray version makes the details pop. How scary is the grim reaper now?! This is worth the extra money spent for the blue-ray version. I would recommend this.

Not a lot of people know this about me but this is my favorite story of all time I own multiple versions of this story including the book.

This is my favorite rendition of Charles Dicken's classic tale. George C. Scott's interpretation of Scrooge is flawless. The rest of the cast is equally strong, and the over-all production is faithful to the original. I highly recommend this one!

There are a number of versions of A Christmas Carol on DVD; this one, with George C. Scott as Scrooge, is one of the best. The other one in its league is the one with Patrick Stewart. You should own both!

I like to watch the Christmas Classics to do with Scrooge going from a grumpy old man to a happy old man this generous with his Money
