This was an interesting watch that had a weird twist toward the end that I was not expecting. I can see myself wanting to rewatch this film again in the future.

Unexpected mixture of gothic and modern "horror" - some parts are a bit murky and could have used a better explanation, but overall an entertaining enough thriller.

This movie isn't really scary in my opinion. It might be scary to some who have a fear of eels or being submerged in water. The plot isn't hard to see through, and has the same type of "twist" that brings up memories of Crimson Peak. Not the worst movie, but not worth watching more than once. Basically the director seems like he wanted to push the envelope, but took a step back to keep his R rating.

The kinds of movies Verbinski should be making, not ones that shackle him to a cadre of producers nitpicking and tweaking everything to fit within their vision.

Didn’t know what to expect. Bought this blind not knowing a thing about it. Definitely more of a story than I thought there’d be. Would watch again.

It was an awesome buildup but after awhile you saw the twist coming and it seemed a bit rushed at the end. Not a great date movie though

I bought this as a gift and was told it's a very mind boggling movie...so I'll take it that if you like guessing and weird movies this is for you.

Great movie in my opinion I don't know what other people have said about this but I really liked the plot I thought the cinematography was beautiful, bluray picture quality is really nice all together I definitely recommend it to anyone that has patience if you need action or scares within the second it begins you probably shouldn't
