This is a truly wonderful & heart warming movie whether you love dogs or not. A dog is the central character: what it thinks, what it feels, and what it does, but that does not diminish what this movie says to us about our lives & how we live. Enjoy!!

So glad I bought this movie! Get ready to cry, I cried like a baby. It was a really well thought out movie that really tugs at the heart strings! I would definitely recommend watching it.

This movie was excellent. My whole family enjoyed this movie. Before I purchased it, a few best buys employees told me to get ready to cry & they were right! I would recommend this movie for any family that wants to see a great movie about dogs!

We saw this movie in the theater and truely enjoyed. Loved the story and the actors. A movie for the entire family. We purchased it for family night since not everyone was able to see it in the theater. It was a hit with everyone, young and old.

Loved it so much in book form and then in movie form that I added it to our collection . . .Anxious to watch it with our grandchildren . . .will need to have extra Kleenexes available! Seriously, its a wonderful movie with such a great ending!

All of the controversy surrounding the filming of this movie, which was later confirmed to be a hoax, shouldn't deter you from seeing this wonderful film. The studio took a chance and made this film, and movie goers should embrace it. Yes there is one very sad scene in the movie, but the rest will have you laughing and cheering. As a movie lover and a dog lover I highly recommend this film.

I enjoy any movie I can watch with my family, and add in a heartwarming story about canines and you've got me. It's heartbreaking to lose your best friend, but a nice thought to know they might really get a chance to come back to us.

This is such a wonderful movie. It puts death , from the perspective of a dog , and makes it the reality it is in all our lives. Everyone that I have known who has seen it has cried at some point. It touches your heart for sure..

I bought this movie because my grandkids wanted to see it. We started watching it and my husband came through the room and ended up watching it too. It was a tear jerker, but was also a heartwarming and funny. We all loved it.

Thought it would be a cute movie for the family but was blown away. One of my favorite movies in a long time....I haven't liked a movie enough to buy the DVD in years.

i felt this movie was very good and truly loved the story. i know youre going to read other peoples reviews and they will down this movie. i here to tell you, that you wont be disappointed if you take the chance and buy it.

This film reminded me of classics like Old Yeller and Where the Red Fern Grows. The acting is great and the various stories of the Dog and his lives are heart warming. Be prepared to tear up at times so bring the tissue box!

My children picked out this movie and they also have been reading the book. They have watched it 3 times in one week. They love it and I'm supposed to watch it with them this weekend so make that 4 times for them!!!

This was a great movie but very sad. If you’ve had dogs before and had to put them to sleep or they’ve died it will bring you to tears. However it does have a great story and makes your believe in reincarnation.

We enjoyed "A Dog's Purpose", it was an interesting viewpoint - from the dog's perspective. We were intending to buy another copy as a gift for some nieces & nephews, but after watching it first we decided the movie was a bit too "heavy" for some of our younger relatives. We still bought it though as a gift for the teenagers and they enjoyed it.

A movie that makes you laugh and makes you cry and makes you love not only your dog, but have a deep appreciation for the unconditional love that all dogs have? It's a great movie worth watching over and over again.

Now you know with a dog movie there will be heartwarming moments, and sad moments, and doggy death moments. Spoiler alert, they actually worked in a lot of all this by using a reincarnation approach. A nice movie.

Despite all of the controversy that preceded the release of this movie, I loved it! And as a person who has owned dogs most of my life, they have always been an asset to my family. Having my favorite dog, Champ, at a very challenging time in my life, I found him to be a God-send! It brought back wonderful memories of the unconditional love of my pet.

This was more than another movie about dogs - it was a delightful surprise. This movie was all about discovering a dog's purpose and in the process proved the old adage that a dog is man's best friend. For dog owners this movie is a must see - even though for some it could be a stretch of the imagination. The Blu-ray version is highly recommended.
