A low-key drama about three women who contemplate the ups and downs of their marriages after they receive a letter from another woman that she is running off with one of their husbands. You're left guessing which woman's husband has left her until the last few minutes. Given the poor quality of too many movies in the past few years, it was worthwhile to watch an oldie that told a convincing story with good acting and no silly gimmicks.

I honestly had not heard of this movie before I came across it on the Best Buy shelves, bust based on the accolades and blurbs on the back I picked it up. So glad I did! Great performances, smart plot -- loved it!

A classic movie from 1949 starring three of the female stars of the 1940s. It is a tearjerker. They don't make movies like this anymore. The DVD played fine. It has clear picture and sound.

3 women are left to wonder which one of their husbands, left them for another woman. At the end, you find out, if you want to believe what you hear & see.

A classic! Great movie, excellent picture and sound quality. The case is one with all the holes punched out so not the most protective but $4.99?! Can't beat that price. It was shipped in a sort of cardboard "bag" so it arrived in good condition. This DVD also has quite a few special features including a biography on Linda Darnell and information on the restoration process. Highly recommend.

Being a movie lover, I couldn't resist this movie at the incredible price it went for. That said, it was probably average at best.

This film has an excellent cast and storyline. A letter is sent from a friend to three wives, telling each that she has run away with a husband, but she doesn't say which husband. Each wife remembers an incident in which the woman who wrote the letter played a central role. Unfortunately, this reviewer cannot explain the ending without disclosing the husband.

Don't watch it with your wife unless you want her in a bad mood.

I didn’t enjoy this movie for me it was a little boring

Those old movies some how never never age! This movie is mot filled with spectacular computer generated anything! But grab some pop corn and enjoy seeing the lives of real people come alive!

Very good movie, one of the best black and white I have ever watch, this movie will keep you hooked from the beginning to the end.

The tv is a great second tv for the house, garage, basement ect. Great picture, sound and size.
