I really enjoyed the movie. It was entertaining and suspenseful and held my interest with no slow spots. The characterization was wonderful, and I enjoyed the movie so much that I started looking for the novel that movie was based on, and then the rest of the book series. I have enjoyed those also!

I would watch just about any movie starting Liam Neeson and this movie does not disappoint. There is lots of suspense and tension in this thriller.the relationship between Jack and TJ makes the movie human! Recommend.

If you enjoyed Taken and Non-Stop then you'll enjoy this! His character differs from other movies he has done such as him being alone and less stable (no family) in this film. The undertone of the movie is that of watching Seven which can be on a down note but with a successful victory at the end.

I thought this was a really good flick. Not the usual Liam Nieson vehicle so he was able to strech a bit. Good writing, acting, directing, filmaking here. I would recommend it for the film library.

Private cop takes a job out of sympathy for the drug traffickers on the wrong side of the law. Someone is mutilating and killing the families of the drug kings. Good cop decides to stop the atrocities.

I found the best of both worlds. Comedy with a twist of tears and an all out clutch your seat and wait for it film. The actors in these movies are all over the top. This is actually my second time ordering. Just had to have it in Blue Ray. Enjoy and don't lose your seat.

Many movies are made without the thought of moviegoers having the intelligence to sit through intellectual conversations or plots...This is a good movie for those that can do that.

A troubled ex-cop turned private investigator . A drug dealers wife murdered. Sadistic psychopathic killers. And a homeless boy. All combine in a taught modern police procedural.

Just a so-so movie with a typical storyline. Liam Neeson does a mediocre job of convincing us that he is a bada**. Denzel Washington, John Travolta or even Bruce Willis would have done the role more justice. I also have an issue with Neeson's political speech regarding how bad guns are, people are the issue guns, knives, ballbats or lemons are just tools they choose to use. Producers need to choose actors who have an appreciation for guns and the 2nd amendment, let Neeson act in movies he can relate to like "The Internship", more his style.

I really enjoyed this film. Neeson is an excellent actor and he won over many new fans with the the Taken films but they did nothing to display his acting chops which are on full display here. Also I can't tell you how refreshing it is to see a film devoid of CGI effects.

I feel like this one was kind of over looked in 2014. Sure it isn't reinventing the wheel, but it is a solid mystery/thriller. And those are harder and harder to come by nowadays.

When I got this movie I was thinking more of a action,FBI,CIA,detectives kind of movie,but I was wrong,however,this movie got to a point where you start getting more and more "wanting to know what's next,because the story is one of those that keeps you like that,and that's what I think is the effect that a good movie has to make you feel,otherwise,you get up and and live.Nielsen is a good actor,but I'm used to see him in action movies but in this movie he once again convinced me that he's an actor that can play any role .

Liam does a good job in this movie and the movie is good overall but have seen better from Liam and the action genre but not saying it is terrible movie.. it was a good movie.

Always been a fan of Liam Neeson. This movie was a little different - more depth and discovery of character rather than straight action. Enjoyed it very much.

Neeson stars as Matt Scudder, a former cop turned unlicensed private eye in this murder thriller mystery. Neeson never disappoints in his performances, and this movie is no exception. If you are a fan of Liam Neeson or of mystery thrillers, I recommend this movie.

This is truly an underrated film from Liam Neeson. This is what you call a grown up film. This is not 'Taken', and with Ed Harris in this as well, a great film to watch.

Watching the trailer for this movie, I thought it was just trying to play off of Taken. When I actually watched this movie, that feeling quickly went away. This was a great movie that is completely different than Taken. I'm happy I made this purchase.

Liam Nelson never disappoints. Good movie with lots of action. Great price too when it was on sale. I keep coming to Best Buy to look for their movie sales.
