The premise of old friends forced together while out of their comfort zones has been done before and far better but the two leads' star power and easy charm makes this an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

I was happy to find the release of A Walk in the Woods at Best Buy. The package was a little damaged and we opened it before we took it home to be sure it was not damaged inside (which it wasn't). My only complaint is that one clerk was assisting us and went to "look for a better copy" and never came back to us so we waited for several minutes and realized we had been abandoned.

I heard that Robert Redford wanted Paul Newman to costar in this movie but he passed away. I think Nick Nolte did a great job! I was really well done. Can't wait to read the book now!

Compared to the book, the movie was a bit lightweight, glossing over the roller coaster relationship between the two main characters. But the gist of the book was maintained.

Not usually a comedy person, but this movie really had some great laughs. Blu-ray is just plain with no significant extra features, but audio and video are up to normal standards.

This is a great story of some "old-timers" deciding to do something VERY challenging. The scenic views were great. If you like the outdoors and hiking you will like this movie.

Went to the movies to see this one and then bought it when it came out on DVD. Enjoyed it every time, and even read the book. Great story in spite of the language.

Loved the movie. Screenplay and actor interaction was fantastic. Just wish the BD would play on all our BD players. Distributor needs to upgrade their software.

This DVD was fun to watch. It was light hearted and entertaining. The acting was just OK. I enjoyed it enough I wanted to share it with my son who is 45.

Cool movie about two senior citizens hiking the Appalachian Trail going north. Great photography. You can experience the trail from your family room.

Nice to watch 2 great actors take a simple story and make it enjoyable to watch. Good surrounding cast especially Emma Thomspson. Nice diversion movie.

I really enjoyed the book and anxiously awaited the movie. The book version is always better, however, I really enjoyed the movie. It follows the book basics closely, but deviates some without affecting the plot. Enjoyable, but has some language.

Redford and Nolte worked and fitted well together in this movie. My wife and I enjoyed the plot, the banter and the scenery.
