    Santana's Best Album

ABRAXAS is Santana's best album ever, blending Latin, African, blues, rock, jazz, and R&B influences into a powerful sound that all jazz-rock fusion bands should have aspired to in the mid-70s. The guitar work is white hot, with Gregg Rolie's calm vocals providing a good contrast to the explosive instrumental work.

Always worth a listen! Flamenco-styled guitar gymnastics accentuate an over-all subtle and complex piece of work. Re-release does shed a little new light on and old hit with three new live tracks. For the un-initiated, a good buy, for the acolyte, not necessary.

This is Santana"s 2nd album, and really showcases the bands talent and many influences. Solid guitar work from one of rock's legends!

If you've never experienced Latin music, this is a great introduction. Very powerful, but still beautifully rhythemic. Every song fits seemlessly into the next. Incredible!!
