I had to get a new charger, since I got a new3dsxl.

Effective and about what you would expect. Cant beat authentic Nintendo products. I would shy away from the other third party stuff like Insignia just because power amperage is higher on those and may damage your console. Ive invested too much time and money in it to have it melt on me.

The device works well and does what it should. It should come with the new DS though and not be an extra item.

I am glad this charger came out. It’s a nice charger for the kids to use.

this keeps your Nintendo Portable gamesystem charged for when you need it , for hours of play between charges. If you go to nintendo's support site you can get a charge cradle for the Nintendo 3DSXL and the New Nintendo 3DSXL. A way to keep it on or be able to easily place in cradle to charge and remove to play

Was so relieved only had to replace the 3DS charger.....

I didn't have a previous 3ds I bought the new 3ds and I had to buy a charger since Nintendo didn't include it on the new 3ds I had to spend an extra $20 bucks

It is a good charger, and the cord is nice and long. My problem is that it does not come with a DS. Nor is there a discount offered when also purchasing a DS. With that in mind, $15 is certainly too expensive when one is also spending upwards of $200 for a system, plus a game because DS's also include no games. Best Buy cannot affect what Nintendo chooses to do, but it would be cool if they offered a discount for a charger, at least 30% I would say.

Works great, easy to use, and exactly as advertised.

The Nintendo 3ds charger is a must if you are buying the new 3ds because it is not included. Only 3 stars because it should be included with my 3ds.

The original adapter was mia. Headed to local store saw this for an insta-buy. No regrets works well

good product. it wasn't expensive at all. practical

A lot of people complain how Nintendo is cheap about not including one of these with the System itself. If they did include it they would have marked up the price to about $220.00 compared to $199.99. When customers see the $220.00 they probably wouldn't have complained or notice the difference.

Very disappointed in Nintendo for not supplying a charger when buying a 3DS. Luckily we found this out before Santa brought the system to my son on Christmas. We looked everywhere and finally found ONE at Best Buy, they were nice enough to price match since it was cheaper at another store.

I was STUNNED and disappointed that after I bought the DS to find out it did NOT come with a charger. I had to RETURN to the store to buy this charger. Needless to say the birthday boy spent a night looking at a game he could not play............but the following day we got the item. It's a MUST have since it does NOT come with the DS

It charges good but the cable is really thin and low quality. It went bad in 2 months

Unfortunately, you must buy one of these separate if you don't already have a 3DS, but since this is a first party adapter, it is definitely worth it. Don't buy cheaper things on ebay just to have them fry your system. Go with quality parts from Nintendo and you won't be disappointed.
