Worst. Purchase. Ever. I have never written a review before, but if I could save someone else the pain of my experience then I thought it was worth it...
This laptop was great for the first 6 months. Worked like a dream. Then, it would randomly begin to shut down at least once a day. I sent it in to Acer for repair, and they sent it back "fixed"...but did not fix the problem and broke my charger. Then, I sent it in again to fix both problems. They replaced the charger (which was nice)...but then cracked the edge of my screen and still did not fix the random shutting down.
Had a co-worker who is a computer wiz look at it and he figured out the problem in UNDER 2 MINUTES (it was a kernel panic...a sign of a disfunctional laptop). I called them again and they said that my product was now out of warranty and they can't help me, even though it was the same exact problem. Wasted many hours of my life on this poorly constructed laptop.
I am NEVER buying an Acer laptop again and now all my friends and family who know my story have a negative opinion on them. Complete garbage. Do not waste your money on this. This laptop and Acer's customer service are awful. You would be better off buying a cheap, $200 computer than this piece of junk. :(
