I wanted to get a laptop as a supplement to our desk-top computer so I wouldn't have to always go upstairs to check mail, etc. I don't need the super-best, most current product out there; just something that's reliable. I am extremely pleased with my 2-yr old ACER desktop so I went with them for this purchase too...and there have been NO surprises. It is fast, it is sleek, the keyboard has a very responsive 'feel' to it as does the mouse-pad. Best Buy store matched their online price for me and I got this for a very good price. This model may be in the process of being replaced for a newer version so it would be good to hunt for this while they are still available but regardless, I would definitely recommend the ACER brand for reliability.

Bought it for 349$ (before taxes) at BestBuy. A computer with these features should cost at least 30% more. Couldn't find any other model from any manufacturer with these feature for even close price, so bought 3 (for wife and daughter too) right away. You should keep in mind that the 4GB RAM that comes with it will most probably be insufficient for your needs (unless you're using really really few apps at a time). So you should definitely consider an addition of 8GB (or 2X8GB RAM replacing the 4GB, in my case) to make sure you forget about memory issues. It'll still be great deal! *** NOTE! *** 1.) BEFORE adding/replacing the RAM make sure with your dealer that your warranty will not be voided. (It would probably won't, because I checked, but just to make sure) 2.) The trend is going away from laptops. I have an IPad, Kindle and a smartphone, but sometimes you really need a laptop. This laptop fits that need. It has a powerful enough processor and large enough screen to allow you to do most non power user tasks. Windows 10 runs fine with 4 Gb of memory, but would run better with 8 Gb. The keyboard takes a little time to get used to, but doesn't have feel that would be unfamiliar to Acer users. Three USB ports allow you to use a mouse if you don't like the track pad. The hard drive is more than adequate for most users. This laptop isn't exceptional in any area, but it is perfect for someone looking for a good basic laptop.

Presentation/Availability: Product was well packaged with no broken/opened box. There were many available at the store. Performance: Easy to setup, just follow the on-screen instructions (NOTE: internet access is required for completing the setup, without it, you cannot do it). Setup process took almost 30 minutes due to the downloadable content that is required to setup 100%. Once setup, I haven’t experienced any issues with it. It is very fast and perfect for multitasking even through a Wi-Fi connection. It has a CD-RW/DVD-RW, which is perfect for my needs. Is light in weight. Customer service: Very good customer service. I was greeted by an employee as soon as I walked through the door and helped me to contact the correct employee at the right area for getting my product, which I did quickly.

Fast and easy to use. Plenty of storage. Could use more ram.

Awesome chip if you know what look for. After doing my homework and reviewing some laptops with the minimum of a Intel Core i5 chip, I wanted laptop to replace my Lenovo that I gave to my wife, I found this one with an awesome chip compared to others that only had a low end chip but for a few hundred dollars more. This one was not only less but had better specs. Truth be told, if you want a computer or laptop or any technology, look at the guts then the outside. This had awesome guts for the price and once I gave the keyboard and screen a try at Best Buy, I couldn't help but to buy two, the last two. One for my high school kid and one for me. For mine, I had extra parts and traded the internal 1 TB hard drive for a 500 GB SSD and then made the 1 TB an external HD USB 3. I then gave my DDR4 RAM to my son so he would have 8 total because it only came with 4 GB RAM and upgraded mine to 16 GB. Love it so much.

I needed a new laptop that played DVDs (I don't download or use the cloud) and was fast for the internet. A good basic laptop is all I needed. I asked a salesperson, and he highly recommended this model. Great price, and works great. Nice choice. Very happy with it.

This laptop is perfect for basic gaming (we use Steam games) and browsing/streaming videos. For the price this laptop can't be beat. We haven't had any performance issues and don't anticipate any issues with the amount of use we've had gaming and streaming.

It was time to update my elderly parents laptop. I was able to easily set it up exactly as their old one was, and they are very pleased with the speed and reliability. Good value for the money.

My harddrive on my former ASUS broke. Lost all my info. Picked up the Acer because it was reasonably priced 4 my needs. Happy with purchase.

I am amazed at what a little money can get you in laptops nowadays. This unit is fast and feels sturdy. It was easy to add more RAM (I took it to 8 Gigs). I got this for my 11 year old daughter for school and... well let's just be honest and say she plays games on it LOL. It plays most games pretty well with the Intel HD 520, better than I thought it would considering it is an integrated video package. Not a gaming laptop, but you can play games on it. If you want a nice laptop but are on a budget this is a great choice.

Got a great deal on this laptop on the Tuesday Tech Sale. For your standard browsing and streaming, this laptop is great. I personally upgraded the RAM and its working pretty fast. Highly recommend this laptop.

Great laptop value. Fast, reliable and modern look

I needed a new computer for work and didn't want to spend a lot since I work in a dusty environment. This computer does everything I need it to do. Of coarse I went from vista to windows 10 so that took a little getting used to. But all in all very good investment

this was a gift for my 11 year old grandson who really wanted a computer that was fast and would perform for the games he plays. He says it is "awesome" and fast and he loves it!
