Purchased for my wife that doesn’t want to mess with a laptop. This Chromebook is an upgrade. She loves the bigger, brighter screen. The larger keyboard is more comfortable for her. The touchscreen makes it easier to use. I love it because I don’t have to provide computer support services like I have to for a laptop. It just works for everything she needs with no hassles.

Excelllent Chromebook. While memory is soldered and not upgradable or replaceable, storage is and I upgraded the PCIe card to 2 TB so I now have room for my music and pictures, It's fast, has a very nice screen and was a priced well. I highly recommend it.

This is for the Intel Evo Core i5 version. I like everything about this Chromebook with the exception of the fan. It runs way too much and at full speed. This Spin 713 is in a very cool room, on a level table with no web pages open. Minimal apps running and the fan just spins away. The odd thing is that if I open 30 tabs on the browser the fan doesn't run. Quiet as could be. Shut all the tabs and a few seconds later the fan blazes away. This is a known problem. I've searched several forums and many are complaining about it. I might exchange it for another, but I'm concerned I'll get another with the fan problem.

Quick and Fast Startup also easy to use once you get the hang of it!. I like that it's small enough and lightweight but the screen is decent size and really bright overall would recommend for someone that does light gaming or just wants to stream youtube and also moving streaming etc.

I couldn't be happier with my new Chromebook! I love Google everything and being 65 years old it was very easy to set it up by myself and as easy to pair it up to my android and to get all my google folders and apps transferred on it, without seeking anyone's help! I couldn't be more satisfied with the ease of the Chromebook.

I am so happy with my Chrome Notebook!! It is so easy to use. I had a tablet prior to the Notebook, and this is just so much better. The salesperson was also very helpful in deciding which product was the best for my needs. I feel this will last me for many years to come. Thank you.

Coming from an old Samsung Tablet, I'm happy with the Spin 713. It's fast, lightweight and has a large, but not too large display. I was skeptical about ChromeOS, but I find a mix of local apps and Web-based apps versatile and a very good alternative to a tablet and a laptop.

This does the trick for school. However, the speaker isn't working correctly already, but it's not a big issue for me. It not the top of the line, but it's not cheap either. I do not regret this purchase

I bought this because it is an upgrade to the previous Spin 713, and it was on sale. I began using this on a daily basis a few months ago, and it is really pleasing to use. It does eveything I've needed it to do, and no lagging ever.

I had the previous edition of this laptop and was impressed with it. When this one went on sale, I snapped it up. Boy am I glad that I did. This is one of the best chrome books on the market and at the price it was offered it was unbeatable. When I compare it to previous version, this one is much more finished. The keyboard the keys seem to be tighter and a joy to type on. I could go all day on it. The processor and the storage are both improvements, too. It handles anything I can give it, including linux apps. Battery life is slightly less but with the rapid charge it is no big deal. This is a definite upgrade and I believe worth it. You will not regret it.

Best Chromebook hands down. This badboy comes packed with the latest and greatest. Chromebooks don't offer much as a laptop but this one makes the most of it. Comes with thunderbolt port, 2k screen, gorilla glass and more. Its a great buy for a on to go laptop.

This is absolutely the best chromebook I have ever owned, incredible value for the price, very fast performance, Iris Xe graphics are a bonus, plenty of memory and storage, Intel EVO platform makes this chromebook future ready, overall a fantastic product from Acer

This is the 4th Chromebook I've owned and is certainly the best. This unit has a much more premium look and feel compared to my 4 year old Samsung Chromebook plus. The first thing I noticed was how nice the track-pad is to use. The display is also very nice and pleasing to the eyes. The unit does weigh more but I only use it in my lap so that isn't an issue. The back-lite keyboard is also a nice touch. The 11th gen i5 cpu is probably a little overkill as I've never had any performance complaints about any of my previous machines with significantly less powerfull CPUs. The extra RAM and SSD storage are a welcome upgrade. I am a very happy camper and would recommend this highly.

So far so good!! I bought this to replace my dinosaur of a laptop and so far, I love it! Is light and the internet is so much faster! Never thought id buy a Chromebook, but I'm glad I did!

I have been a huge fan of Chromebooks ever since they first came out. For the absolute vast majority of people and even students, the basic features of a Chromebook are absolutely enough while being relatively more affordable compared to general laptops. The Chromebook Spin 713 is an example. It is absolutely jam packed when it comes to the specs but is much more affordable compared to similar spec’d out laptops. Unboxing was your typical experience. Out of the box, I was just impressed with how premium it looked. It is heavier than I expected. The build quality is excellent. I always end up hating plastic chassis as it breaks down 100% over the long haul. The aluminum chassis in the Spin 713 puts those concerns to rest. The hinge is fairly sturdy with little screen wobble. I am not the biggest fan of 360 hinges, but the Spin 713 is well made. The design is a bit boxy and may not fit with the modern aesthetic, but I was a fan. In terms of its specs, it is awesome. The resolution of 2256 X 1504 is plenty sharp. It is a very bright glossy display with little glare. Text is clear and crisp. Videos were a pleasure to watch with bright colors. The 3:2 aspect ratio is also great for productivity. More vertical space really helps for productivity. It is running an 11th gen Intel i5 and certified Intel Evo, which is a fancy way of saying it is one of Intel’s best performers. It has an actual 256GB NVME SSD. Wicked fast and plenty of storage. This really does transfer to real world use as performance was great. Fan noise does get audible. I feel I have to mention this because Chromebooks usually are nearly silent. The backlit keyboard has good travel and tactile feel. Trackpad was smooth and gesturing was effortless. Battery life is decent. I was getting around 6-7 hours of use with streaming and browsing mixed in. The webcam is 720P but pretty disappointing. Even under medium lighting, image quality was fuzzy. In terms of port selection, this is one of my favorite laptops. It has two USB-C ports that support Thunderbolt 4, so whether you want the fastest data transfers or 4K monitors, you are set. It still has a headphone jack (thankfully). It has a USB-A and microSD card slot. My personal favorite is that it has an HDMI port! This Chromebook is both future-proof and current. The audio is definitely one of the Chromebook Spin 713’s greatest weaknesses. Its located at the base of the chassis and downward firing. I HATE downward firing speakers. I think Acer was trying to accommodate tablet mode, tent mode, etc., but I think that they could have put front-firing speakers that worked at least in laptop mode or incorporated them along the sides of the display. I might be asking too much. However, the sound quality itself is weak. It doesn’t get too loud and there is distortion at high volumes. This really impacts use as a media streaming device and was definitely noticeable. In my experience, there were also minor software issues. I feel like these are fairly common with new Chromebooks and get weeded out in the future. Things like random shutdowns happened. Also, when I plugged in an external monitor through HDMI, sometimes the windows in the external display would just randomly disappear. Minor hiccups that will hopefully be fixed in the future. All in all, the Acer Chromebook Spin 713 is the best Chromebook on the market. It can’t be beaten in terms of the value you get for the specs. One thing to consider is if you want such a premium device that runs a fairly limited OS in ChromeOS. If you are sure you do not need more robust apps, you can’t go wrong with the Acer Chromebook Spin 713. Pros: Aluminum chassis Great sharp display that gets bright 3:2 aspect ratio means more vertical space Intel Evo 256 NVME SSD Great performance Good keyboard and trackpad Awesome port selection – HDMI and Thunderbolt 4! Chromebook is fast, easy setup from box to desk, loaded my google account from the old computer easy.. purchased a pen and again was easy setup and works fine
