The Acer Iconia One is a good tablet for the value. It has a good look and comfortable feel, with the ease of use of any Android device. With numerous apps open, the tablet is a bit slow to respond. However, for the price it does perform pretty well and is definitely a good value.

Took my old tablet in for repair and when I got it back it BB had to replace the motherboard (and since I was at 95% memory use even with my SD card, I decided it was time to upgrade to a 32gb with all the sales going on at the time). Well I bought the first one of these and opened it up to find that the screen was shattered, took it back the next day figuring I would go ahead and do a trade in on my old tablet, which had finally been returned. Seems what I had seen as the "trade in value" and what was now the "trade in value" 1 day later was a whole lot less so after some discussion I got a whopping $10 for my old tablet), I exchange tablets and get a New Iconia 10 - we check the screen it is fine and I get home. I cant get any of the aps to open. All I get is a msg when I try to open them that they have stopped working. Even on the preloaded apps. So I reset the tablet and tried again, this time it is working but I have not downloaded the system update yet (last time I did that with an Acer A1 I lost the ability to save anything to my SD card from that pt on.) so I'm holding off on this download. I will see how it works for a few days and then do the download. If it screws up at that pt I will know what the problem is. But I state again if you can afford to buy something a little better DO SO. I couldn't, on a fixed income so I have to buy at the low end of things.

I have always stood behind Acer and their products for their reliability and value for the money and for the most part have had a pretty good experience with this company and it's products for the most part. This product, however has disappointed me to the point where I had to return it. For starters, the tablet comes with too much bloatware which causes mediocre performance and more than occasional hiccups. Because Acer feels it necessary to include a suite of mostly unnecessary apps and cloud services, this can greatly affect the overall performance of the device. The final nail in the coffin was that every time I turned the tablet on, the time zone would automatically change to one or more hours behind the actual time. This was a big annoyance for me as I had to re-correct the problem every time by resetting the time zone to my home area. On the plus side, excellent battery life and decent front facing speakers are about the only pros of this potentially capable but over-priced tablet.

I've been testing this item for the last four weeks to be sure that my opinion was unbiased and I have the full impression about this product. First impression is that some parts of this item has been made with plastic and is not top quality item. That initially it's ok, because I am aware of the price paid for it (you have what you pay for!). The user interaction is not bad, the apps works quite fast (relative "fast" here, slightly lower than an ipad but no substantially lower) and Navigation, skype, you tube and kids games are perfectly fine. So my 2 first week eval was almost 4 starts thinking that this could be an unexpensive tablet for my son that normally likes all the functions mentioned before. However by keeping using it (weeks 3 and 4), I've already been forced to replace the power charger because the original is no longer working. With the new one (same capacity model) I am observing that the charging times have been increasing as fast as the battery autonomy has been going down. I am having unacceptable ratio now of 7 hours charging for 2 hours use. My overall impression is that it's not only looking low quality (that I would be ok with) but is made of low quality components that will make you to regret the purchase.

I knew NOTHING about Tablets...BUT knew I wanted one. Bought Acer Iconia One 10. I liked the white large screen. It was quiet ..good sound. Slow to load. Great picture..BUT after a month, the connection to charge the battery became SLOPPY and kept falling out and therefore did NOT charge! I called the factory to complain...they said to send it back! Which I did in all of it's original packaging. Got a phone call yesterday saying...My screen was cracked..(IT WAS NOT CRACKED WHEN I SHIPPED IT!) They assured me that it was cracked!!! They also said they would NOT FIX it!! I told them to send it back. MY Comments are...There was no problem with the screen...ONLY problem was with the connection to the charger...screws for that are all in the back. WHY mess with the screen at ALL???? I did have a screen saver on this tablet...to PROTECT the screen....so did they brake the screen trying to remove the screen saver! I don't know...have not received it as of today! SO, I now have a NON functioning Tablet that I have had for 4 months...with a non functioning connection to battery charge and supposedly with a broken screen! It appears I will have to buy a new tablet..HOWEVER IT WILL NOT BE AN ACER!! I would NEVER recommend this product....their Warranty STINKS! SO BEWARE!

I had a Windows tablet and it was heavy and slow. This one is light and fast. It feels sturdy in my hands and I have enjoyed it very much. Not crazy about the Acer news feed but easy to ignore. Good bang for the buck

This unit is your basic Android tablet in the sense that it runs that same Operating System that they pretty much all do. Where this unit is lacking is in build quality. The housing feels very cheap and there are sharp edges, as might be expected of a unit of this caliber and price-point. I will probably just give this to my toddler to play games on while in the car and continue to use my Galaxy Tab 7 and Surface Pro 3 as tablets.

Yes i understand this is a $100 tablet, so I didn' expect much. But i thought it would at least be usable. I was wrong.The 1gb ram and the terribly slow CPU made this tablet basically unusable. There is considerable lag when opening any app. It takes 3-10 seconds when opening chrome to start typing anything. I had to use my computer to write this review cause the tablet was too slow! Don't even think about opening two apps or more at once. I also have a 7" Amazon Fire HD tablet which cost $50 and it is waaaay more usable, without any lag. Which is odd since its half the price! Please, PLEASE do not consider buying this tablet. You will just end up frustrated and annoyed. Save your money, and buy something a bit better. Even a four year old Ipad will work better than this piece of junk.

Big bang for the bucks , surprise to see the blue ray level control ,led screen ,good sound, first acer ,I like the layout find it to be very user friendly

The tablet is a good tablet for the price, it suited my needs. Unfortunatly I've only had it 4 months and have had to replace it twice due to the charger port failing. I recommend if you are going to buy this tablet, get the replacement plan. There is either a design failure or whoever is working that part of the assembly line doesn't like their job.

Pros: It is packaged well, looks like a tablet, has many applications already installed and/or ready to be installed, Uses the latest Android OS Cons: The OS and other apps that keep it running uses over 800megs of memory, If you load anything else that needs more than 200 megs it will not work! Acer knows this because they install a memory cleaner that works automatically but drives up the initial memory usage. YOU CAN NOT Fix Memory Deficiency unless you add more or better memory! Which is what is wrong with this tablet....in my opinion....

All people who have given a positive review to this tablet, either have never had quality stuff or just doesn't know anything about electronics, or maybe wanted for a child. The tablet is a no no, the cheapest amazon tablet will crush this tablet in quality. The tablet works, you can do anything you want, youtube. netflix, etc.. The main problem is that this tablet state that it has 1280 x 800 resolution, NO WAY. It is worst than 1024x600. Also state that it has 1.3 gigahertz Processor Speed and it doesn't perform like one. The tablet design is great, sound is very good, loud. If you want it for your child most likely he will love it, or if is your first tablet you will find it nice, but if you know about this stuff or are picky this is not for you because the lack of picture quality.

Bought this tablet as it was an economical replacement of my previous Acer tablet that finally gave up the ghost. Started out well enough. No problem with screen, function, or anything at first. Then less than 60 days in it starts having charging problems and it starts lagging in general operation. Charging takes 8-12 hours now and the connection is very finnicky to even get it to charge. So less than 90 days in its a desk weight. I've dealt with Acer support so its not worth the time or money to contact them. Save yourself, I couldn't.

We purchased 2 tablets and both tablets stopped charging after 2 weeks. Took them back to the store and exchanged them. Now 6 weeks later both replacement tablets have stopped charging. We have tried numerous different charging cords and outlets. The same cords charge other mobile devices without issue. Contacted the vendor and we can send them in for repair however we have to pay shipping them the devices and also pay to have them shipped our repaired devices to us.

This Acer tablet is a better quality plus less expensive than the one I purchased last year. A great tablet for only $85.

I bought this tablet as a Christmas gift for my daughter and I'm glad that I opened it a few days after I bought it to install the apps she likes. Well, upon turning it on and personalizing the tablet we noticed that the wi-fi kept disconnecting and reconnecting every 10 to 30 seconds. This is not a common problem in my house. I have many devices hooked into my wifi and they are all steady as a rock. Anyway, we were surprisingly able to download the initial android update and I had my fingers crossed that the update would fix the wi-fi issue. Alas, it did not. The tablet continued to disconnect/reconnect the wifi multiple times a minute. We weren't even able to log into our google account. After troubleshooting for about 3 hours we finally gave up. We'll be returning this tablet ASAP.

Inexpensive but low quality. Slow processing. Android updates never take (wants to repeat the process over and over). Cheap screen, lousy build. Desperately looking for my receipt!

BUYERS BEWARE: BAD BUILD QUALITY is not covered by warranty. In fact it would make the warranty completely useless. The tablet is built really badly. First time I put it in my backpack, the screen came out cracked. It was never dropped or mishandled but it still broke. I have owned many tablets and this has never happen to me before. Best Buy would not take it back because the problem is physical. I attached the image. Note that when the screen first crack it didn't look nearly as bad as this but after a week of use the crack had become worse and kind of branches off like this. AGAIN: I never dropped this tablet ONCE.
