Excellent for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a couple of laptops to test this one was by far the best. I haven’t experienced any issues some spoke about in other reviews. I’m thinking they just got a bad pick of the litter. I’ve been able to play all games at the highest settings with frame rates one 160fps (depending on the game) and WWE 2K22 benchmarked over 240fps! No complaints here. Solid gaming laptop.

Great gaming as well as general use laptop!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic do-it-all laptop computer! The 1TB SSD drive holds a lot of programs and data and this machine is very very fast! I've owned a lot of notebooks through the years and this is by far the best I've ever owned. I bought it thinking about using it only as a gaming computer mainly for MS Flight Simulator 2020 which makes huge CPU and GPU demands. I have an HP laptop for all my other computer needs plus a built-myself desktop. But as soon as I started using this computer I decided to install most of the same software as is on my HP laptop so I now can take either one with me if I travel, depending on what I want to accomplish. I don't play any of the huge-crowd multi-player online games so I can't speak for how well it would handle itself in that situation, but for the gaming I do and for flight-simulator this is an ideal computer. But wait! As a business computer this is also a fantastic machine with great battery life. I followed the instructions for breaking-in the battery (fully charge it, then run it down to 20%, full charge it, repeat that 3 times) to be able to get the most battery life and for non-gaming activities I have gotten 4.5 hours so far, and I've only had it 2.5 days. Gaming shortens the battery life due to the heavy cpu/gpu/storage-access demands but this beats my HP laptop hands-down in battery life already! Others have remarked about the sound of the fans -- for normal computing use (word processing, spreadsheet, surfing the net, e-mail) I don't notice the fan sounds. When gaming they do increase in speed and thus are louder, but so far I have not found them objectionable. My HP laptop is just as loud. The 4 USB ports (3 USB-A and 1 USB-C located on the back near the power adapter insert) are more than many laptops have, and one will even provide power (presumably for charging a device) when the computer is turned off. The volume through the speakers is a bit quiet, even with the volume turned up pretty far, but that may be a good thing so that you can use this without headphones and still not be a bother to those around you. It comes with a "protective" sleeve which is more designed to prevent scratches to the case since it's not very padded. Using it inside a padded backpack or briefcase would be fine but don't use it as the sole protection of the computer because it's not very padded. The box also includes a "travel passport" which I guess is so that you can take this with you on airplanes and explains to the powers-that-be what the technical specs are for the computer and that it's okay for travel. The wi-fi is great with this machine. Others have commented on the offset placement of the touchpad. It's centered under the qwerty keyboard, which makes it a bit to the left of center of the machine. My HP laptop is the same way -- I think that's how most notebooks which include a numpad are designed. And the inclusion of a numpad on this machine is a definitely positive thing, which helps make this a perfect all-around computer. They may call it a "gaming laptop" (and it is excellent for that!) but with the built-in num-pad it's also a great all-around computer for anybody. People in a business meeting might look askance at this computer but that's their problem -- they would just be jealous of your computer since it probably outshines their business laptops by several orders of magnitude! This computer has a 1080p web-cam built in (no privacy slider unfortunately, but it's not hard to create something to slide over the camera) when most other laptops only have 720p cameras. The picture is fantastic, making this a great laptop for zoom meetings. It comes with Win11. This is my first experience with Win11 and while it runs very smoothly beneath the surface I'm already tired of having to make additional clicks to get to menus showing all my choices which were there with single clicks (left or right) in Win10. But that's a minor annoyance and certainly not a deal-breaker. I'll get used to Win11 with more time. I can't say enough positive about this computer so I'll stop so people won't accuse me of being a fanboy. I'll end by saying that I'm very happy with this computer and look forward to many years of use.

Potentially good laptop with cooling problems.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop itself has a sleek design. Much more profesional looking than the past versions. Yet, the one I received specifically seemed to have cooling problems as when I turned it on and checked if everything was working how it supposed to I quickly noticed the laptop sitting on 60 degrees Celsius as an idle temp which alarmed me. Unfortunately, the day after I got the laptop I had to leave the country for a trip so I was unable to make the refund, this leaving me with a high voltage cpu and gpu laptop with cooling problems; a heck of a combination. When tested upon current generation games it perform somewhat under expectation of it components, I partly blame this in the cooling issue this mine has. Yet it’s offers a playable gaming experience. My only real disappointment/unsatisfaction with the laptop is the bad temps I got right out of the box.
