I would give this Acer Swift laptop computer 5 stars except for two things, the first of which isn't a huge problem as long as you are careful: The SD card slot...it isn't a click-in/click-out spring-loaded slot. The card just kind of...rests there with no real feel of being "attached" and it sticks out halfway, not being fully recessed. My previous laptop, which I only replaced because it was an outdated Win 7 machine, had a fully recessed, spring-loaded slot for the SD card so I thought they were all built like that, until I encountered this Acer Swift. Not a reason to return it, but I would have chosen differently had I not bought it online, where I was unable to touch it before buying. I'm slightly afraid as I drag this laptop from table to lap I might break off the SD card if I'm not carefully aware of it. 2nd problem...and I don't know if this is necessarily my Acer Swift or my Samsung S9+ doing this, but when I tether I have to do it via USB cable. The Acer WILL find my phone in hotspot mode but WON'T remain connected for longer than 30 seconds, so I MUST use the cable. Again...don't know which is causing this so I can't entirely blame the laptop. However I CAN confirm that my Playstation 4 attaches wirelessly to utilize the phone's hotspot. I don't have cable or DSL so I MUST use my phone to connect to the internet. Otherwise...4 Stars. I like it!

I use this computer when traveling and I love it. It's light yet powerful enough with enough battery to last me a day.

Came with a small dent on the top and small but noticeable damage on the corner where it had been dropped. I thought manufacturer refurbished meant it had damaged parts replaced so I asked for a replacement but they had sold out. I returned it and ordered another one direct from Acer, which worked out cheaper. It came with one small and one large dent in the top, also had dirt in the keys. I’m a tightwad and didn’t want to spend the couple hundred bucks extra to get a new one so kept it and it's an awesome laptop. I don’t do gaming but it does everything I want perfectly fine. I would recommend the laptop but if you don’t want one that looks like it’s been run over order new.

I recently retired and lost the use of my free work-issued laptop. This one seems better than my work computer. I was a bit nervous about purchasing a refurbished computer. I saw lots of negative reviews from other retailers--sometimes the refurbished computers were good, and sometimes they were bad. I decided to buy from Best Buy because I figured they would be more likely to sell a good product in the first place, and if I did have issues with it, there was an actual store with humans I could talk to. As it turns out, I don't think I'll have problems. The computer seems like new and works perfectly. I'm very happy with my purchase.
