Purchase to use with my new Orbi and Fios. Instead of using the orbi as a access point going into the router, used a splitter direct wire from the adapter into the orbi. This way I can use all of the functions that the orbi provides. Just remember to shut down your wireless access on your original FiOS router. You don't know how to do it there's plenty of things online

Seriously, if you do not have ethernet already ran around your house, save some money on hiering a contractor to put holes in your walls for a wired link. With this thing you can exploit the cable line and make it an information highway! Cable is already ran to every room as a standard in homes today, put it to use and save!

I needed to setup a wireless AP in the second floor and it needed to be hardwire. I have a 1Gb internet connection and wanted to take full advantage of if. The setup is very straight forward. Getting close to 1Gb speed between two PCs using these to connect. Great build quality.

Purchased this because the WIFI signal where my PC is located was spotty. There were no Ethernet drops but there were coax jacks in the room with the fiber and the room with my PC. These enabled me to get a full GB link to the router. My PC now gets the max 1Gbps link speed to my router instead of the 20-ish Mbps that I was getting through WIFI.

I've bought this one to connect a Netgear extender and improve 5Ghz coverage upstairs and cannot be any happier. I don't have cable for year but still have the coax, finalize put it to use. I got a great throughput and able to keep streaming. Setup was a breeze and it's running flawlessly for nearly a month now. I sure recommend!

Cat 6 is certainly better, but rather than rewiring an existing house, this is a reasonable alternative. You won't get the bandwidth claimed, because that is under ideal conditions. Also, each unit needs to be powered, so there is yet another shadow load on your electric usage. I use this in conjunction with WiFi. There are times when WiFi isn't the way to go and in big houses, or multi-story houses with many walls, this is a superior way of adding additional routers and wired connections.
