Heats too much and causes plastic to make noises

I've had the SSD installed for a year and after a few months I noticed that my PS5's plastic was making a popping noise. It turns out that even with the thin layer of metal used for the heat sink, the SSD heated up too much and caused the plastic to make a ton of noise in the middle of a game. It got especially worse while playing PS5 games. You can learn to live with it a random popping noise every 5-10 minutes, but I'm much happier to have taken this out.

      Hello,

If your heatsink is starting to warp, it means that there is excess heat being built up in your system.
Please make sure there is adequate ventilation when playing your PS5.
Similarly, I would suggest also periodically cleaning your PS5 Fans, especially if you have pets.
Dust and dander can accumulate over time and cause the issues you are currently describing.
      Thank you!
