The 2 agents that came where nice and professional but my rear right speaker is not working properly but everything else is great

They had to get in my attic and run new speaker wiring and install 2 new Bose speakers to complete the 7.1 configuration.

Installed new home theatre system using existing speakers. Took Geek’s 2 visits, took me 8 trips to Best Buy fo additional parts and advice — ran $ 500 + over estimated as remote and optical and HDMI cables then had to be replaced for 4K. Ended up with some wires over carpeting as Geeks wouldn’t do what salesman sold!!! They plugged turntable into wrong input so it missed preamp and didn’t work. Geek said I needed a new turntable! I later reworked this myself, and it works! They set width of Center audio so narrow (compressed) that dialogue could not be heard, they were required to return to reset the AMP to wider central channel. Should have come to house before sale completed, to say what they could and could not do! Sloppy Service many times over.

I purchased a full home theater system in July/August. System just now installed Jan/Feb. The front speakers were installed upside down and Best Buy mistakenly cut the holes for the ceiling speakers too large, requiring me to hire someone at my cost to patch the ceiling twice. Also, you cannot use the receiver remote control from a seated position b/c Best Buy forgot to install a repeater. Overall, the system is OK and many of the installers who came to the house over the 6-month installation time were nice and helpful.

I was very disappointed with the quality of work of tech upstairs. he had an attitude that he did not want to be there. He left a mess to clean up, left the front plates unattached and did not connect the wires-see pictures. had to ask him to staple the wires instead of leaving them dangling where they could be snagged when walking by. had to ask to connect wireless on receiver. I had two major requirements 1. all equipment connected to internet and all wiring connected and looking decent at a minimum. he failed on both counts. I wanted him to make sure all speakers were connected properly. The front left speaker - the wires were switched, Very disappointed!

Unacceptable ,not according to the understanding with the agent before purchase job , will take pictures of the cables across my floors and walls and take them to the ABC news trouble shooter Found to hire an electrician that will be able to fish the cables for the speakers through the walls from the attic , job that Travis was not able or willing to do

The installation crew arrived on-time and began by mapping out the theater room for wire concealment and speakers placement. Afterwards the setup is extremely professional and sounds amazing. These 2 guys were serious and straightforward no waisted movements, they got in and got out. Definitely would recommend them and will request them for future work.

Ken, Kyle, Stewie, Sean & Jason did an amazing job installing my definitive technology speakers. We had some in-wall and in-ceiling installed. All measurements were done via laser and as a result, all of the speakers were placed perfectly (& neatly) and look great and sound amazing. if I had one word to describe the products and service I recieved, it would be, perfection.

An absolute perfect job. David, Skyler and Cooper did an amazing job mounting my TV, connecting speakers and equipment. My wires were hidden in the wall. They made sure no unnecessary holes had to be drilled. They cleaned up during and after the installation. And they didn’t leave until they were absolutely sure I knew how to operate my new system. My installation wasn’t a normal setup and go. They had to do some planning and then some adjustments. My attic wasn’t as easy to maneuver around and the structure made things impossible to install. David and crew came up with some work arounds. I am so pleased with my system. I am so glad David, Skyler and Cooper was assigned my project. I recommend Best Buy TV and Stereo Geek Squad. Geek Squad service is a Best bet for your money. David and crew knew exactly what they were doing and the are highly competent in their specialized field. They knew everything about every piece of equipment they installed. They were professional and absolutely courteous. Once again I say thanks to Best Buy in helping me select the perfect system for my home and thanks the David, Skyler and Cooper. They’re Great!!! Ask for them.

The team of installation professionals were awesome. They socially distanced in a correct manner. They made multiple measurements for the ceiling mounted speakers. They ran neat and clean speaker wires within the attic space. They made clean and concise speaker holes and cleanly installed the grills. They verified functionality of the speakers (ATMOS), and made basic adjustments so the quality could be verified and then fine tuned at a later date.

Geek squad was on time and the technician Frank was super helpful, professional & knowledgeable. Was able to fix my speaker issues and move my wall speakers and configure my receiver and speakers to optimal sound. Speaker wires were concealed in wall. Would highly recommend.

Ryan did a great job of replacing two ceiling speakers and installing 3 new ceiling speakers to create a surround sound system. Much of the work was done in our attic because he had to run new wires. He also programmed the new universal remote. He worked efficiently and was patient and helpful in answering our many questions. The Geek Squad crew are awesome !

They did their jobs. Mounted a 65” OLED , where I wanted exactly how I wanted. They mounted 4 prime elevations perfectly and hid the wires. Courteous and creative they left the job clean and gave me cell number directly to them in case I had any issues. They called before they can AND showed up on time. I was surprised everything went off without a hitch.

The installation crew were on time, very clean and neat about the work they do. They were sure to make sure the placement of all the speakers were exactly where we wanted them installed. Would definitely recommend this to anyone that just doesn’t want to deal with the mess and cleanup of DIY!!

I recently purchased an in-ceiling speaker system along with a receiver setup from Best Buy, and opted for Geek Squad’s installation service. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of expectations. While the speakers were installed, the technicians failed to complete the setup properly — they did not install banana plugs at the receiver end, which are standard for a clean and reliable connection. When you’re paying for professional installation, you expect attention to detail and a complete job, especially for something as basic and industry-standard as banana plugs. The oversight left me disappointed and required additional time and effort on my part to finish what should have been done during the initial install. I hope Geek Squad improves their training and quality control to ensure future customers receive the level of service they pay for.
