But for real-who doesn't love this movie? Airplane set the standard

Bought this but then realized it is blue ray and I don't have a blu ray player. I used rewards coupon of 5 bucks and so lost the value of it if i return. bummer.

Not as funny as I remember as a kid. Was okay, but not like I remembered

Pre-ordered this. Got it today. Steelbook was crushed, but that is UPSs fault so I don't blame BB. Unfortunately the Digital copy is iTunes only which is not mentioned anywhere here. What does the more than half the country that doesn't have Apple phones, Tablets, or Apple TV do? I guess if I want to use my $15 movie I need to buy an Apple TV. There is a very tiny (pinky nail sized) iTunes logo on the back of the packaging that is almost too small to read so clearly they new this was going to be a sticking point for people buying it.

Who does not love this film? A comedy classic. Cast perfect in their roles. Well written of course with the memorable catch phrases. DVD package. Normal extras on it. Deleted scenes, commentary, trailer, that type of thing BUT IT IS ONE OF THE I HATE THEM SO MUCH FLIP THE LITTLE FLAPS TO OPEN THE CASE. The film that got Leslie Neilson's career into high gear in comedy’s. there would have been no Naked Gun series of films without this film.

Finally received my copy of Airplane after watching the out of stock button on the web page for a month. Every store around me was sold out, and for good reason. Airplane is a classic, and is worthy of Blu-ray. This movie looks great on Blu, even though it has no reason to. The purpose of the movie is to make you laugh (it succeeds), but I was surprised at how new and fresh it looked in High Definition. I can't recommend it enough times over.

"Airplane! The `Don't Call Me Shirley' Edition" manages to combine silliness, puns and with topical humor in a style that recalls something out of an alternate off-kilter universe. Filled with melodramatic, over-the-top music, deliberately bad acting and every cliché about plane disasters you can imagine, "Airplane!" aims wildly and accurately most of the time taking the wind out of the sails of bad (and some good ones, too such as "Jaws")movies everywhere.

The creators of Airplane are a little over the hill, but it's nice to see them again. The extras are almost as funny as this hysterical movie. One of the insights provided is that "Airplane" is a remake of the B movie "Zero Hour". This movie is a classic of its kind and one of a kind! At such a low price, it's hard to beat.

Unfortunately, Airplane! was received by us sliding around loose inside it's case. We didn't open it, and returned it to our local store for a refund. We were unable to get a replacement in-store, as they do not stock this movie. The movie was meant as a Christmas gift, and since we would be unable to order another in time for gift-giving, we purchased a different movie in-store.
