The Allure of 'Alien': 40 Years Later It is still one of the best Sci-Fi Movies Ever Made, even better in 4K. You have your choice of the theater version or the directors cut. Either way, it is worth owning!

This steelbook is far better than the ugly cover art of the regular edition. It compliments the gorgeous video of the 4K. I’ve owned Alien in just about every format and this is the best I’ve ever seen it.

Classic film. And definitely worth the upgrade. The 4k transfer is terrific.

One of my favorite movies to watch when I was growing up. The creature effects were excellent and made you feel the sense of dread that the characters felt. They did an excellent job in making the film.

If you liked the Alien Movie to begin with and have upgraded to a 4K TV you should definitely get a copy of this movie in 4K. It takes it to a whole new level and feels like you're in the theater.

I still remember the incredible tension the first time I saw this movie in the theatre some 40-years ago. I've purchased this film on every new format over the years and now love the Ultra HD version.

If you like this film you will love it even more in 4k. Considering the age of the film this still holds up as one of the great horror films. I would like to see the other 3 sequels come out in 4k.

The first Alien on 4K is probably the best this movie will ever look and it looks great. If your a fan of this movie it is worth the upgrade. You can see details that you have never noticed before.

Alien is my favorite franchise, and this is for me the best presentation that the movie has had to date. Great picture, sound, and solid HDR implementation. Steelbook is quite nice looking as well!

So I have a ton of versions of ALIEN and I was shocked at how amazing the 4K conversion is. Normally I don't care for "upgrades" of old films, I was so wrong to put this one off for so long.

Ridley Scott directs a masterclass in restraint, atmosphere and terror. He know exactly when when to pull the string and deliver a good scare. Great performances by Weaver Skerritt, too.

The sound is the same as recent blu ray releases but the picture in 4K is a descent improvement over blu-fay. Who doesn't like this classic intense/scary Alien origin story, even 40 years later.

Get it? Reborn? Any way, what a fantastic way to watch Alien. 4k, on a 75inch TCL. This is a great transfer to 4k from the original format. A must have for any Alien or Horror fan.

I was lucky enough to find one of these in my local store. Exchanged the standard 4k copy for the steelbook. The standard copy does have a really cool looking sip cover. The colors really pop.

Ridley Scott's classic, Alien, is presented here in an excellent 2160p transfer in 2.35:1 aspect ratio. Resolution and color detail are a huge upgrade from the previous 1080p Blu-ray disc. The pack also includes a director's cut of the film, though this version is not entirely in native 4K. The only reason it's not a perfect score is because it does not include a new Dolby Atmos or DTS:X mix.

I really like the original Alien. One of my favorite sci-fi horror films.

Great movie with a great transfer. It is a bummer that they could make it in a box set with all of the other Alien movies but didn't. Could it be the Disney/Fox merger? We may never know!
