Great classic horror movie, looks amazing on bluray and 4K. If you like this movie this is the only version to own.

Alligator is one of my favorite childhood movies back when I got to see it in channel 5 in New York so to see that shoutfactory gave this movie gem a 4k treatment was great to see and own another great flick to add on to my collection.But no surprise there I have been a shoutfactory costumer and fan since they first launched keep it up guy's!!!

This movie is such a great 4K scan I really enjoyed watching it it’s the movie I remembered to be it’s not as cheesy as I thought it was good you gotta have one for this collection!

This is the ultimate king of giant killer alligator movies. It plays on the urban legend of alligators in the sewer, you get Robert Forester murdering his role and a fine body count. The hd makeover courtesy of scream factory is delightful and the price on best buy was also quite lovely. So buy this and force best buy to keep physical media alive.

Awesome retro movie. I was afraid of this creature when I was a kid. Excellent story line.

Great 80's creature feature! Awesome use of special effects, genuine comedy, and just overall very enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone who likes 80's horror.

Awesome giant monster movie. Takes enough of itself seriously to not be too over the top. Great movie for a fun time.

A holy grail release for lovers of this film, starring the late great Robert Forster. Before this we only had an old DVD and even that was getting harder to get for a decent price since it went out of print. Now Shout Factory answers even more prayers for releases we thought we'd never see with this one here. And not only is there a blu ray but a 4K version for those of us who love our 4K TVs and systems at home. You've never seen this film look better and there's a treasure trove of extras that will keep any fan smiling for a while. The folks who put this release together did so with love and obvious appreciation for the film, and it shows. We're talking about a 3-disc set! The 4k version, the blu ray HD version, and a third disc that contains the television cut of the film. For many of us, the nostalgia carries us through a viewing of this but regardless, the movie really holds up and is very engaging. Lots of great extras to enjoy and many of us love how the cover art for the case is reversible so you can see the original poster art. Anyone interested in an alligator run amok in the sewer movie will be plenty satisfied with this. Period.

Great 80’s cheese movie!!!!! Rip off of jaws but it works!!!!

When this film turned up on T.V. I was prepared for the worst. Much to my surprise this was a good thrilling monster movie with just the right amount of tongue and cheek to make the far fetched premise acceptable; ie the idea that an alligator this big could slip in and out of the sewers with out being detected. Robert Forster as the detective out to track down the killer gator gives a good performance. ,real stand out is Henry Silva as the military man sent to destroy the monster gator. He plays him like a broad stereotype of a general from some Latin American dictatorship. FYI: If you think the idea of a 36 foot plus alligator is impossible, there is a fossil skull on display in the American Museum of Natural History in New York of an extinct crocodile. The skull is over five feet long. Image that such monsters once did roam the earth! 4K looks amazing too

So with the film not getting a proper release since the old VHS days, it's quite the breath of fresh air to not only see Alligator in HD, but UHD to boot! - the transfer looks amazing! At least as good as a low budget creature feature from the early 80s is going to look anyway. Highly recommended! Even has a bunch of extra features, and includes the t.v. cut of the movie as well. I would also recommend grabbing pt.2 on blu-ray as well to watch as a double feature. Fun stuff!
