I saw this was written (at least in part) by John Sayles, so I took a chance and bought one. It is not quite my kind of movie, but I don't regret getting it. The video is excellent, very filmic, with very nice colors thanks to an excellent DolbyVision capture. Audio is good, nothing spectacular in the soundtrack or anything, but audio is clear and clean.

This loaded, incredible looking 4k is kinda surprising. Its an early 80’s Jaws ripoff, but it’s made with such love, I can’t be mad at it! Thanks Beat Buy for having it in stock!

This was a blind buy for me and this was easily one of the most entertaining movies I’ve seen in a while. Recommend if you’re a fan of movies like Tremors, or the things like the slasher genre.

My rating is for the packaging and release itself. The restoration looked GREAT but the film itself isn’t very good and I usually love these schlocky creature features.

Just plain awesome. Robert Forester is the man. Alligator is a beast. The presentation looks fantastic for an early 80s monster movie. If you loved Jaws, make some shelf space for Alligator.

Great 80’s movie that is not cheesy for its time. Thoroughly enjoyed revisiting this flick. There is a second part that is not as good. Would highly recommend

If you like B horror movies this is top notch . 4K remaster couldn't be better and it also includes the extended TV cut with all the gore removed . Also has lot's of special features .

i dont know what i was expecting when i was piecing this up, but it turned out to be a nice monster movie. it feels like lake placid. if you seen that movie youll get the jest of this film

I can confidentiality say that Alligator really is one of the best ones out there. It delivers on the alligator action while also adding enough little elements to make it more enjoyable. It has an entertaining story, plenty of likeable characters and great practical effects. Overall a top tier when-animals-attack flick!

Scream Factory finally brings this cult classic to viewers in 4K glory. Picture quality is great and a good amount of extras. You get the theatrical and tv cuts of the movie as well.

Used to love watching this movie on regular tv as a kid. Finally got to replace my old dvd copy and an even bigger bonus its in 4K! Looks amazing! R.I.P. Robert Forester

Alligator is a great film that is just underrated and I'm glad that Shout Factory put it out in 4K Ultra Blu-Ray not just in Blu-Ray like they did with all the other titles!

Movie is great. Ahead of its time for a movie made back in the day. Great special effects. Great cheese and a fun time. My son (6) loved it as much as i did when i was a kid.

A super-fun monster movie. I wish modern filmmakers went back to practical effects. Love it when they use "real" monsters instead of CGI!

Giant Alligator + People + Dynamite + Blood & Gore = Awesome Movie! So happy this got a decent 4K release, let alone a Blu-Ray.

This is a movie I loved as a kid. It surprisingly holds up & is really a pretty well told story with a decent plot. I also love it comes with the 2 versions, the R rated & the tv version. It was Jaws on land based on urban legends & I still love it.

I really like this one. I was glad when they put this in two formats. You will enjoy it if you like Creature Features movies.

Alligator in 4k looks good. Scream factory cleaned up most of the image but some sceens look just ok. It is an older movie. The sound from this movie is not good. If you have good sound system, you are wasting your time. The movie itself is not bad but not great.

Picture quality is incredible. The movie doesn't really hold up, but it's still a fun and mindless creature feature. The 4K transfer is the true standout. The audio isn't great which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Worth buying if you love cheesy horror and collect quality 4K discs.
