Here's an example of where the 4K UHD format really shines. The video transfer on this disc is amazing. Sure the movie is only 22 years old, but it has the look of a new film. I realize that this movie has been released on Blu-Ray a few times, most recently as a Paramount Presents title. But this 4K version is the one to get!

This transfer is great. I've only watched the bootleg cut because its the only version I'll ever watch. The 4k scan is very good and the HDR is fine. Its not the type of movie where HDR is going to pop out or anything. The sound is great as well. Definitely worth the pick up.

This is essential viewing for any fan of cinema and/or classic rock... and it's highly unlikely that the film will ever look or sound better than this 4K UHD release. If you hate steelbooks (you're crazy) this is currently the only way to get the film on 4K UHD disc here in the U.S. so just suck it up and buy it already!

Good picture quality. Two versions, only saw the longer version, which was great. The lead actor was good but he was not seen in very many films afterwards. Kate Hudson is great, and being a story inspire by true events makes it even better. Lots of special features and outtakes.

Without a doubt, one of my all-time favorite films. This package gives the theatrical as well as the 'bootleg' cut, but trust me, you will want to watch the latter. Absolutely stunning in 4K and where else will you get a DVD commentary from the director's mom?

This film has adult scenes of crazy lifestyles. They are rockers hoping to make it to the top of the charts and enjoy life along the way. Kate Hudson's character, not a groupie, is an enthused groupie. The story revolves around her and some groupies hanging out with start up bands beginning their annual tour and a young teen hoping to get a good scoop about the band's life while on tour. It was very entertaining. I really liked it.

Great film! An amazing coming of age movie, infused with Rock n roll and a touch of love. It makes you want to be right there with the characters while the events unfold. The steelbook artwork is spectacular! An awesome retro/worn look that compliments this films aesthetic so well!!

Great hangout flick. Goes down easy and makes you feel nostalgic in many ways. The cast is stacked with many recognizable faces. This is probably Cameron Crowe’s masterpiece. If you missed out on the steel book I highly recommend this slip cover.

The 4K UHD print is gorgeous. Has the beloved bootleg directors cut. This is the definitive way to watch this movie at home. The greatest rock movie ever, imo. I watch this once a year. The soundtrack is amazing.

Almost Famous: The Bootleg Cut, is a must have! This director's edition delivers deeper story and character relationships, which only enhances an already classic story! A tale of director Cameron Crowe's experience as a teenage music reporter, Almost Famous takes us back to a time when the rock n' roll struggle mattered and truly meant something! Highly Recommended!

This movie was a transformative experience in my youth. It’s rebellious and adventurous but stays grounded in with a wholesome heart. UHD really shines here and the soundtrack is phenomenal.

i think i will come out of this one wishing they had done a 3 disc set with blu ray theatrical & the bootleg cut as a 3rd bonus blu ray instead of only 2 4k discs but might be just me wanting more bang for my buck I'm sure

"I am a Golden God"..... This movie was one of those pleasant surprises a few years back when flipping through the HBO channels. Awesome movie! Those are the best when you just stumble onto something! I think singing Elton John "Tiny Dancer" on the tour bus might have been the coolest scene of all. Pretty much sums up the whole movie really.

I love the look of the steelbook. Definitely stands out on my shelf. As for the film, it's fantastic as always and the 4kUHD blu-ray brings the best out of the sound and color. Just wish it was an Atmos track but can't have it all.

Sorry Spinal Tap, but this was real. Based on director Cameron Crowe's early career as a rock critic, most of these people and events actually happened. (Allman Bros, Poco, Led Zep, The Who, Skynyrd, Frampton are all rolled up into a fictional band) Very affectionate, and very funny, look at life on the road in the early 70s.

One day you’ll be cool. This movie however, has ALWAYS been cool. And it has never looked better. Throw in some new special features and the theatrical cut of the film and this is a no brainer

Best film ever about the 70s music scene and is also a semi bio on fhe director Cameron Crow. This is in my top 5 favirote films of all time. The 3hr ectended cut is even better and it looks fanatsic in 4K.

Excellent film with maybe the greatest movie soundtrack ever.. Comes with both the original theatrical cut plus the extended version. The new 4K transfer looks great!

This is a movie I didn’t like when it first came out but as I got older and I came across the bootleg version which is included in this 4K release that’s when I really started to enjoy it..worth a watch and buy

I am a big fan of this movie i bought this for the third time lol, the steelbook, bootleg cut blu ray, and this version and it has the theatrical cut as well and looks great in 4k.
