My wife bought this set for working from home. She often works late so an illuminated keyboard was a must. They keyboard and mouse are ok. Not great but functional. Mouse pad isn't the greatest ever but not bad. The headset is junk. Sound quality is terrible and mic is even worse. I couldn't understand a single word while she was using it. When a deal is too good to be true.... My advise save up for a Corsair, razer, logitech etc

The keyboard and headset are okay, the mouse is one of the worst mouses I have ever had. It moves by itself slightly every 20 seconds, which is really bothering me.

Everything works fine except for the headset. Its wire will tangle up and it breaks upon untangling it. I have replaced it 3 times in the past twp months and I now find using a hassle and a detrament to my gaming experience

Great Value - A PC Perpsective

I picked up this set for my "2nd" gaming setup, which is my portable system (gaming laptop). It is a great value for what you are getting, as long as you don't expect high(er)-end quality and performance. With $50 to spend in Best Buy gift cards and not sure what to spend it on, I deciced on this combo primarily for the keyboard and headset. While I normally would prefer a true mechanical keyboard, the "semi-mechanical" nature of the keyboard is satisfactory. I have 2 other mechanical keyboards (cherry MX brown & blue), and going from those keyboards to the Alpha keyboard is nowhere near as bad a "downgrade" as the old Logitech G510 membrane keyboard that the Alpha keyboard replaced. I also use the keyboard when I work in the living room, and it isn't loud and bothersome to other family members when they're plopped on the couch watching TV, which is a reason why I did not go with a true mechanical keyboard. Although the keyboard does not use a driver (and I don't believe one is available from the manufacturer), it does support the basic Windows media functions via a dedicated function key (FN). Not having a driver also means you can't program keys or macros, so if that is a feature you need, then look elsewhere. As for the headset, I will preface this by saying that I'm a huge audio snob and use preamps and separates in ALL my home audio equipment, including my main gaming setup. That being said, I'm satisfied with the build and audio quality for games. The headset is equpped with a volume dial on the bottom section of the left cone, which is convenient vs adjusting the volume via hotkeys or within the OS itself. Like the keyboard, there is no driver for the headset, in which case the USB plug for the headset is solely to power the headset lighting when used on my PC. The headset is also equipped with mic and headphone analog 3.5 mm jacks, and also comes with a y-adapter for single-jack headset connections. For PC, the analog jacks are necessary as again there is no driver and the USB connection is only for power. I would otherwise expect that for console, the USB jack is functional for mic & headset functions. I have not used the mouse, but in reading the instructions it is also plug & play and non-driver based. I will put the mouse pad to use eventually, but for now I will just say it's a decent surface. While I don't want to get too deep in the overall feel and build quality of the product, I will say that I've used more expensive gear from more well-known companies that felt "cheaper" than this set. For the price you are paying for all 4 items, I don't feel that the quality is below the price you are paying. Ultimately, if you don't expect higher feature set and performance for what you are getting for the price, this combo will do the job. I give this combo a full 5 stars for value at its price point and no more.

The quality is decent on all 4 items. LED Colors are bright, and easily adjusted on the keyboard with built in functionality(no app to install). Mouse feels and moves great and the headset is comfortable, even with glasses on and puts out respectable quality sound, if not terribly loud. No brainer for someone that needs an entry to mid level low cost bundle.

    Terrible product

Terrible product the only use I could see you actually using is the keyboard because it is at least functioning. The mouse is terribly built it feels like it will break in your hand and the headset is so quiet even when you are screaming people will think you are whispering. Overall I think this is a terrible product and I suggest you get something else.
