Okay, I'll go ahead and say;
this game got average reviews.
But, if you like espionage games, then you have a chance of liking this one.
The fact that you can go in like Sam Fisher and take guys out stealthy is cool.
Or you can just be Max Payne and shoot people is good too.
And your options can drastically change the gameplay, which is amazing.
This game has some down-sides too, and alot...
Fighting, graphics, AI, voice acting, ect.
I would rent it first.
But if you liked Mass Effect, or any espionage game, I recommend this.

Not a bad game, but thats saying alot for a game by sega. Like I said though it was not worth noticing my pockets geting lighter. This game has descent graphics. The gameplay is prety good, except for the flawed combat and the fact that it is a very unpolished game. It was awesome considering that it is the first espionage RPG.
Not very much wepon selection, just the same wepon with different stats. Plenty of attachments though, although every sight you put on your wepon looks like a scope that would go on the worlds largest sniper rifle. Also you cant actualy use the sights, they just increas your acuracy.
The different skills you can put your AP(ability points) towards makes for good cutomization of your character, but at sertant points in the game you need to be stealthy and at other points you end up in an unavoidable shoot out with the AI, in which they are unloading entier clips from assult rifles at you, which is horrible when your charicter is only good with a pistol and hand to hand.
The sad thing is the time betwen missions is where the game is really good. The ability to chose how you talk to people, what you do to people, how you influence them effects the direction of the story,much like mass effect or KOTOR(knights of the old republic), one of the greatest games on the original xbox. Over all this is an ok game with a lengthy story line and the choice to replay it a different way.

Alpha Protocol was another 1 of those games that i was waiting on to be released but just kept being pushed back. Now that it's here i muist say...it hasn't dissapointed. You play as Michael Thornton...cue song Secret Agent Man...lol. Your job is to find the men behind the bombing of a commercial airlines flight, and this is where the fun begins. The first thing you get to do is choose what type of operative you want 2 be and run though a couple training courses, which serve as a tutorial of sorts, then its, off to your 1st mission.
Aside from all the good action, and great story, 2 things really sold me on this game. 1st, it's an RPG at its core, so the character progression is wonderful. For every tactical, sneaky, super spy thing you do, you earn exp which in turn earns you points that you can allocate to Secret Agent Man, so your agent actually plays the way you want him to. 2nd is the "Choice Factor." As you go through the game you encounter many different people, so friend, some foe and some indefferent. When you talk to these characters, dialogue options pop up. Depending on how u answer them you can actually make them like you, or not. You can turn potential enemies to mutual friends and vice versa. Doing so can earn you perks for your character, extra missions, money, weapons etc., so mind your tounge...lol.
So pick this one up...trust me it will be worth...

This is a game I've been waiting for, for quite awhile. With all the delays. it was worth the wait. Picked the game up on the release date and I have been playing since then. The graphics are pretty goodt. All the decision making is the fun aspect of the game.
