Not really impressed with the video quality of this back up camera by Alpine. I have it connected to a Alpine head unit (Alpine ilx-f309 Halo 9in floating dash) that isn’t a low end head unit and the picture quality is not too good. Very grainy and just not that clear at all. I’ve adjust the settings within the Alpine head unit and even with the adjustments it did not improve the quality. The stock back up camera was a better picture. After upgrading the stock head unit the factory back up camera had a very bad fish eye view. Had to replace it with an aftermarket back up camera to correct the fish eye view. Went with Alpine since it would be a direct connection to the Alpine head unit and Alpine claims it’s high dynamic back up camera is better than the competitors. Again not impressed. It’s not a big deal but I was expecting more from Alpine.

I had Best Buy install this camera on both of my cars. I have a Prius C and Corolla that I also had compatible stereos installed on. And they look great! The viewing angle is really the best part as well as the video quality. Its easy to mount by either the strong adhesive, or screwing to car with the mount and screws it comes with. I think its great because it looks better (more factory like) than most other options.

Plug and play camera for my Alpine GM-i209 head unit. Install was fairly simple. Resolution was decent but expecting more. Guidelines don’t adjust as you turn the wheel.

Camera works well with an Alpine ILX-W670. Bought the license plate bracket and was able to position it to see the trailer hitch, which is what I wanted it for. Price seems high, but can't complain about the integration and function.

I don't understand what anybody has as far as a problem with this camera it is crystal clear it is color it is small and most of all it is Alpine. That might not matter to some people but it matters to me. I am so glad I got this it helps me backing up my Jeep SUV especially when I am connecting to a trailer. The technicians did an outstanding job as with everything I have them do.

I like this camera. I paired it with the alpine license frame. It has great picture quality! The only negative thing I have is the green, yellow and red lines don’t line up perfectly with the ground. You can see the ground and it stops you from hitting anything it’s just not as good as a factory camera.

Wow, this back up camera is fantastic! We had it installed on January 13th and are extremely happy with it. As soon as you put the car in reverse, the camera immediately comes on. The coverage is phenomenal! Btw, it doesn't interfere with my stereo, which really makes us happy! If you are looking for a back up camera, I wholeheartedly recommend this camera! You can't go wrong! It's perfect!

Plug and play backup camera for Alpine head units. The resolution is only 640x480. Higher end Alpine radios with a 720 display could benefit from a better resolution camera, but those radios don’t support 720 or better input.
Functionality, works as described. Image quality leaves a lot to be desired. It’s time manufacturers take camera quality and input resolution seriously.

Was unable to get through to a person when calling the Lake Geneva WI store so left a voice-mail and never got a call back. Called the 800 customer service number, was transferred 3 times, they were going to transfer me to the store again to which I objected and finally got an appointment set. I thought about calling in advance because I felt this was going to get messed up, but decided not to since I don't get through to the auto tech, and never got a call back. Showed up 5 minutes early to tje install apt and was informed CS set a 30 minute apt and a 90 minute apt is needed for a back up camera install. Wasted 20 minutes driving there, 20 minutes back to reschedule. Could have probably done something for the 30 minutes apt to make the next apt shorter but that would require consideration, and I'll just hang out for the next apt for the 90 minutes and waste another Saturday. The customer service provided over the phone or lack of service is really poor.
