--- SETUP --- The setup for this receiver/transmitter is simple. You have to have a TV (or other gadgets) with an optical or auxiliary port. Included are RCA (red, white) to auxiliary cable converter for older TVs. --- FEATURES --- The key feature of this transmitter is that it allows you to transmit sound from a TV to the included wireless earbuds or to another pair of wireless headphones that you may already own. --- PERFORMANCE --- The performance of this transmitter was not on par with what I expected. The manual says that the included earbuds were pre-paired with the transmitter. As it turns out, mine weren’t. It took over 7 times to get them to pair properly. Once paired, if you want to raise or lower the volume, you have to go to the receiver, as the out-of-the-box headphones don’t have that possibility. The only button on each earbud is for turning off, turning on, and activating pairing mode. However, you have to press with extra force that normal and turning them on and/or off was a hassle most of the time. I tried pairing 3 other bluetooth headphones I own and I was only successful in pairing one other. The original earbuds lost their pairing after about 2 days and I had to repair them again. --- EXPECTATIONS --- The product does not meet my expectations. I had high hopes for this product but the hassle that I had to go through to be able to hear my TV on the bed without waking up anyone else was more than it was worth. When the headphones worked properly, I did enjoy the sound, as it wasn’t spotty nor was it interrupting the audio. However, since I had to repair them several times, it was not a customer-friendly experience. --- APPROVAL --- Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product to anybody based on my experience. I will still give it two stars because, when it worked, it was great. However, the design of the headphones and the hassle of pairing and repairing makes me wary of recommending it.

Listen to TV, stereo etc., without disturbing othe

In ear headphone keep getting better and better. Pre-paired stereo in ear speakers are comfortable, light and clear. After plugging in your choice of RCA stereo plugs, 3.5 mm jack or optical cable, all that's left is the USB power cable. This I was surprised didn't come with a power cube so I needed to find an open power source to power the transmitter. Also, there is a thin, clear plastic cover on the case that charges the ear phones in its case. M mistake was assuming that I just plug in the charging cord and it would charge the head phones. After failing to pair the earbuds it went to place them back in the case, finally noticing the plastic cover on the gold charging contacts. Once removed and placing the buds back into the case, they powered up just great. ---- Just so this doesn't happen to you. Yes, I felt a duh moment! The sound produced is clear and great for private listening when viewing TV without disturbing others in the room (bed). With the choices of inputs the transmitter allows for a wide choice of listening sources. Love the easy to charge ear pieces. Auto on and pairing makes this a simple to use audio appliance.

    Great audio streamer!

Me and my family are loving this streamer. You can use it to stream basically anything that has an audio output. In our case we use it at night to not disturb any other family members and I can see it can be used by a hard of hearing person too! Remember to fully charge the air pods, they didn't come with much charge, at least in my case. We have them connected to our TV, via the optical out (make sure your TV or audio device can output audio). It comes with a plethora of cables to use: an optical one, a regular rca and finally, a 3.5 mm jack. Setup was easy, it uses a usb cable (no brick) for power, we plugged it to a usb port on our tv, then the optical out. We opened the ear plugs case, and they automatically pair with the emitter. Audio quality was great and we could hear clearly the tvs programs dialogue and the bass, is surprisingly good too! The ear buds can also be paired to a cell phone via Bluetooth at the same time, so you don't miss any phone calls I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to listen to music from any device, without disturbing family members, neighbors!

    Enables BT to non-BT devices

This Aluratech media player enables Bluetooth connectivity to no-Bluetooth devices. I have a smart tv and unfortunately, it does have a BT functionality, thus I have to either use my Apple tv in order to get my headphones connected to or use my AV receiver. This Aluratech works like magic in both ways, I was able to connect via optical cable and set the device to TX and immediately earbuds went into pairing mode a few seconds earbuds were connected. 3 ways to connect are Optical cable, RCA, and audio cable. The other option is to use a receiver to add BT function to speakers and have a cellphone be a controller. Earbuds sound are not the best, I had to connect my own headset to have better sound quality. my two cons are; No power adaptor only USB cable so I had to use my power adaptor with a USB port to power it on, instructions seem very vague and some point do not help at all. Overall, It is very handy to have Bluetooth connectivity enabled on non-Bluetooth TVs.

Perfect for TV or receivers from any ages. Built in Optical input gives you solid crystal clear quality sounds with solid connection. Lip-Sync is perfect. You won't see or feel any latency at all. You can walk around the whole house without any distortions or drops at all. For it's value with this package, it's worth all the money.

I connected this kit to my TV that does not have bluetooth. I got it connected and then spent an hour trying to figure out how to adjust the volume. The TV remote did not effect the sound from the ear buds. Finally I paired a different set of bluetooth headphones to the base station which had their own volume control. Now I'm very happy, everything is working great! The ear buds seem cheap, but they work well with a phone or something that can control the volume. However for this configuration I would recommend using different headphones that have their own volume control. I am using the optical audio input and I think that might be related. Perhaps if I could use the RCA/headphone jack, the TV remote would effect the volume of the earbuds. Not sure on that. I actually did not need the headphones, so they were a free bonus which I can use on a phone or tablet.

The transmitter works very well, I can easily pair all my Bluetooth headphones. The earbuds were defective and don’t pair to each other. Best Buy only has a 2 week return period, I thought it was 30 days. Now I have to go through manufacturing warranty to get them replaced

Sounds great but repeatedly have to turn back on after a period of time. The included earphones turn off after a period of use thus I have to turn back on even while my hands are busy so I will miss parts of the show I am listening to.

You cannot control volume. the technology is great and sound is good. However, why would you make an "audio product" where you CANNOT control volume??? I even called their Cust. Serv. to make sure i was doing everything correctly and the person confirmed that no you cannot control the volume. Needless to say i returned it right away. I am hard of hearing and the volume was simply too loud even for me. too bad i really liked everything else.

This thing was harder to set up then I intended. If your TV does not have a Bluetooth setting, I would recommend upgrading your TV because this product is on the pricier side and I personally don't think it's worth it.

I was hoping this would support two different set of headphones but it doesn't. It supports the earbuds that come with it and another set of headphones. Very difficult to connect with my Samsung TV. Very confusing. I don't wear earbuds so this is pretty much useless to me.
