This is a B-list brand making an interesting wireless product for home theater/entertainment scenarios. The AluraTek Streaming media player turns any analog audio device into a Bluetooth streaming-capable device, and includes a set of "True Wireless" headphones that are OK at best... The base station is made from a seemingly flimsy, glossy plastic with an industrial design akin to mid-2000s wireless routers and repeaters, but works well from a range point of view. I was able to pair the base easily with the included headphones, as well as several other Bluetooth headsets I own, which made the experience significantly better. On that note, its the included headphones that are really bad. Shiny cheap plastics are just the start- My pair struggled to keep connected to each other and the charging case it just the wrong shape and size compared to competitors (that cost much more of course, so these are probably good for the value) but the real killer is that they have tinny audio quality and inconsistent stereo. I'd recommend the base station for the price, but BYO headphones!

Love Aluratek Kit - Bluetooth ANYTHING!

I have more Aluratek kit in my house than I realized until recently. Their bluetooth products are AMAZING and the Aluratek Streaming Media Player is no exception. You will need/want the Aluratek Streaming Media Player if you want to give your TV bluetooth. I got this for when the family and I travel. I have trouble falling asleep and need to watch TV as I doze off but it bothers my partner. With this I connect my TV to the Aluratek and then pair my Airpods (Yes! Airpods!) and it's magical. Ther included bluetooth earphones are a little bit on the budget side quality-wise (which is to be expected). But I do like having them as I am making this a portable travel kit and it's nice to have everything in a take anywhere package (for when we're staying in hotels). Honestly, hard to fault except I wish Aluratek would give things better names. Pairing to a device called ABCTWSKIT just sounds weird :-)

I love this device, price and build quality. The device is super easy to install, setup and use. The unit can transmit to two devices simultaneously, which is fantastic. I use it for a bedroom tv to put the sound into my Bluetooth hearing aids, works like a charm and significantly less costly than the one the hearing aid manufacturer tried to sell me. Signal quality is both strong and with very good distance. Audio quality is great as well. Price is fantastic and this is a keeper. The only negative is no separate power supply, power being supplied by your USB ports, thankfully my bedroom tv had two usb powered slots.

Okay, the headphones themselves are okay, but they are a one size fits all kind of deal, which sucks when you have smaller ear holes or where normal earbuds don't stay in your ear anyways. The other part is, you have to have two wires ran constantly, one is a USB cord that must be powered, and the other is the audio input. While the device is small, it just means two more wires that have to run. The set up is fairly easy, charge up the earbuds, plug in all the power, the audio input, and depending on you television settings, awa.y you go. Overall it's a decent gadget, but it could be better.

So opening up the Alure-tek headphone has everything you need to stream wirelessly from a tv to the earbuds. The box contains the earbuds in a charging pod, the transmitter, a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable, a 3.5mm to dual RCA splitter adapter, an optical cable and a USB power cable sans power adapter. I tried the transmitter on a few devices, my tv, a Sony Bluetooth audio speaker and my original Pixel phone. Streaming from the first two I was able to get clear audio, but I couldn't figure out why the source didn't mute. On the Sony it didn't matter, but the tv and the earbuds were out of sync and it was impossible to use. I believe that's user error and I just need to spend more time figuring out what I did wrong. Watching Mad about You on my Pixel through the Spectrum app was great. The phone audio was muted and I could hear clearly what was being sent. It was in sync with the video and I enjoyed watching episode 1 through the buds. I also listened to music on the Sony and the Pixel. I used a CD on the Sony and streamed music through a well known music app. Both sounded tinny with little to no bass. It was bad, but it would do in a pinch. I was actually going to rate this 4 maybe even 3 stars because the music audio was so poor, but then I read the box to be sure I wasn't asking more of the unit and low and behold I see the name of the unit. Streaming kit for 'TV'. I don't believe this was meant to be a music speaker. With that the buds do what the title states. They send voice audio clearly to the user. I walked through the house and never lost signal. I was 20-30 feet away and the box claims up to 100 ft. For anyone looking for a headphone for watching TV, this works albeit I recommend calling or researching how to mute the TV.

This is a good Bluetooth transmitter and receiver, which works well. My only gripe are the earbuds. They are not good at all. Sound quality is pretty bad. It says you’re able to pair them with other devices, but I had no luck doing so. I could only get one earbud to work. The instructions aren’t the best, and can be a bit confusing. I would suggest to find the Bluetooth receiver without the included earbuds if it’s cheaper. Then use your won earbuds or headphones.

Simple Setup, Included Earbuds Surprisingly Good

While this kit is intended to hook up to the optical out on a TV set to make it bluetooth-enabled, you can actually hook it up to just about anything with an optical-out jack to make it wireless. This includes media players, game consoles or stereo gear like a CD player. Hooking it up is simple, and it even comes with every cable you need for most situations, including a light-weight optical cable. The included cable is a little short, so you will likely need to locate the player very close to your source unless you get a longer cable. The big surprise is the included headphones. I was expecting mediocre sound at best given the price of the overall package, but they're actually very good. They are paired with the receiver out of the box, but you can pair them with other sources, like a phone, and use them to listen to music. I honestly found them to sound a little better than my EarPods since they seal up the ear canal for better bass. There are three sizes of ear tips included for a more custom fit.

I wasn't quite sure what this product was all about but I decided to take a chance on it. I believe it is mis-named as I thought it was something like an old-school iPod or other streaming media player from 10 years ago. What I found, however, was an interesting device that allows you to transmit various forms of media wirelessly around your home. The main use I have for it is connecting high-quality wireless headphones to my TV. It allows me to watch shows or sporting events while my wife is working in another part of our living room. The player connects to your TV via several different options but I use the digital optical port which provides for a high end listening experience. The earbuds are very good quality so you can certainly use what is included in the kit. I would definitely recommend this to people looking for a bluetooth hub in their home. I think the product manager at Aluratek should re-think the name of the device so people can better-understand what it does.

I had been using Bluetooth 'dongles' for broadcasting audio to earphones. That worked OK, but this is a nice comprehensive all in one solution that has enough punch to reach anywhere in the house and the sound on the included earbuds was very nice.

The idea of this technology is great. Listen to tv without disturbing anyone, or if you're hard of hearing you can connect and not have to blast the sound on your tv. But I found this unit was difficult to connect and use. Especially the ear buds provided. Out of the box this device looks appealing and well built. It comes with many different cords for connectivity. The ear buds are quite comfortable and look similar to the apple air pods but black. I am pretty tech savvy. But I could not get these ear buds to connect to anything other than the device it came with. And even at that, I was only at about a 60% success rate with connecting. Because of the difficulty connecting the earbuds, I do not recommend this product. So many items are basically plug and play, I don't want to spend the time fiddling with a product to get it to work.

Hearing the TV without having the volume turned way up is hard with workout equipment running. This device does a great job of transmitting the sound to a wireless headset. Easy to setup and use. The sound quality is good as well.

This was easy to set up and is fantastic if you share a home with others not on your schedule. The sound quality won't please audiophiles but is adequate for most users. The only issue I ran into is that there isnt a lot of range. If i walk into the next room, the connection drops.

I've tested a ton of bluetooth headphones but this is the first set that came with a bluetooth transmitter. While I like that this will allow you to make a non bluetooth device bluetooth enabled using either RCA, optical or AUX cable It fails in execution. The headphones don't fit securely in my ears, the sound is mediocre and most times I couldn't get both headphones to work at the same time.
